Drinking is far safer and more cheap than going to a real bar. Is anyone running WiVRn, together with PulseAudio? how do you manage to switch the sink automatically to WiVRn's?
I'm running Sunshine and WiVRn in parallel, and what ends up happening, is that the audio sink never changes WiVRn's unless I do it manually.

My bigmeme 2 came in a few days ago. Still impressed by the resolution, lens clarity, and colours. Even a really dark room the glare wasn't really that much different than my index, but the black levels were leagues better because of the micro oled panels. I'm completely fine with the screen brightness at 100, but apparently a lot of other people have trouble with the panels being dimmer than the index. Comfort is ok, the light weight is immediately noticeable, but the custom foam insert still feels weird. I'm hoping the halo strap will be more comfortable when it comes in. I was able to lie down and almost fell asleep with the audio strap on, despite never falling asleep in VR in my life. I guess the strap gets in the way less than the back of the index when lying down. Haven't tried out the eye tracking, waiting for proper software, the fact that it has no blinking immediately makes me not bother.

I thought this at first but that's not completely true. If you go into a drinking instance and don't know anyone it's going to be difficult clicking with anyone unless you're a social butterfly, same as a real bar. If you post an instance here in the thread and just get to know people as they join, I find it way easier to socialize. And And I don't know about other people, but if I posted an instance and it got too full and someone else posted another to keep things more personal, I wouldn't be offended at all. I think a bit of fragmentation keeps things comfy. I've spoken to like 20 people from this thread now and there was only one person I thought was pretty mean, everyone else seems really cool. And of course being wasted helps.

- Anons seem to vastly prefer getting headpatted back over any other option, so as a general etiquette, I would suggest to try your earnest to headpat back, or otherwise, at least to come up with a cute reaction.
- Headpatters, are prime subjects for a high-trust society, as seen in the study, they risk running into undesirables who dislike the idea of virtual cuddling, while promoting a general positive feedback loop within the community.
