one of my chief criticisms I have against digimon games is the sheer amount of grinding required. having a way to skip it is a godsend as you can quickly raise your numbers if the going gets too tough

The worst part was you couldn't just devolve. You had to fuse TWO digimon instead, and since stats and techs are inherited from both sides, you were strongly incenvitized to capture and raise specific digimon instead of grabbing the first one you came across, and grind until both parents were maxed out to minimize stat loss, which was much higher (~70% stat loss instead of 15~35% (varies depending on digimon per stat) in the DS RPGs).

Holy shit I just realized that since stats cap at 9999 and there's an easy way to get stars I can put armour Digimon and Calamaramon on my end game team.

So I wont have anything crazy like 9999 tokomons like that one superboss in story but yeah fuck yeah not useless armours makes me so happy. cyber sluts tried to actually give digimon their own niches to occupy, but that ended up rubbing a portion of the fanbase a wrong way as it forced you to evolve your digimon.
the only way to make both things work would be to copy pokemon's level-based damage formula. that way they could balance for PVP while still letting players beat the game even with a puny botamon as long as it's overleveled

In the area where chaosdramon is I killed something while searching for the value of it's scan rate. Killing the first gazimon at the fountain is easy enough because it goes up by only 20 and you can leave to respawn him.

I didn't bother with pointers or anything and the scan addresses are 2byte. Once you've found gazimon's address you can right click it and go to the memory range. Every scannable digimon will be right next to one another in that range in the first column. You can then add the highest and lowest address to the memory scan options start and stop searching for every 0 2byte then set them all to 100.

I imagine that the Olympos XII plus Plutomon and Titamon, as well as their respective variants are absolutely going to be storylocked or locked to late game sidequests. Everything else is probably going to have Agent Rank restrictions, or maybe a minimum talent/ability level or something, requiring players to Digivolve and De-Digivolve their partners multiple times. as part of certain evolution requirements. At the very least it seems like personality types aren't strict requirements for standard Digivolutions, but they're definitely needed for stuff like DNA Digivolutions and De-Digivolving into Digimon you haven't yet encountered.
