As a melee player this is unfortunately true. When it comes to this I just mash my life flask button and pray that my dps is enough. It usually works out.

f you want the absolute easiest lvling experience of your life, rather get the lvling Crossbow (rampart raptor) that makes you not consume ammo if you reloaded recently. If possible look for a 3 socket one (5-10ex)

Add in 2 blackheart rings, 1ex each.

Any lvl5 and lower gloves with triple Attack dmg mods - 1-3ex

Total cost 8 - 15ex

In the crossbow socket either cold or lightning added dmg.

Use permafrost bolts until you unlock galvanized shards

Update the sockets to the higher version at lvl15 and 30.

You will 1shot trash mods through the entire campaign, annd delete the bosses before they even do their 2nd phases.

We just went from LS to LA, no new ascensions, no new builds, no new spells and 75% of what worked in 0.2 is nerfed/destroyed in 0,3

these things sat for three hours at 30 exalts (matching the lowest price on the market) with no bites, so I lower them to 25 and they sit for another hour and one of them sells. I lower them to 20 because I'm getting impatient, and literally 40 bots show up in my hideout and clean the entire stock out instantly in half a second.

The fact that BOSSES are not default on maps also makes it extremely fucking not enjoyable. The best part about this game is fighting bosses, they do unique moves, you have to avoid them they're not just a HP inflated entity with generic attacks that has 3-4 annoying to deal with modifiers.

I've played 2 chars with no trade until around level 75 and damage was never an issue. You pretty much have to trade intensively to get your defenses to a comfortable level in my experience. Also you need to study the passive tree in detail and make the right choices or you'll get fucked eventually

Why is the simulacrum the hardest pinnacle? I first tried all 3 difficulties of Xesht, Olroth, and King but difficulty 3 simulacrum sent me back to the currency exchange 10 goddamn times, I had to redo half my build and engage with non-instant-buyout tradies to upgrade my gear before I finally did it, and even then it was only because I got lucky and didn't get overlapping mana siphons. Every time I died it was because two mana siphon rares spawn on the other end of the arena and drain me to zero before I can engage with them, and getting inside their circle so I can sip some gatorade and leech some mana didn't help because the density was so high that the other rare was on the outside of the crowd keeping me in the mana siphon range. Is there any counterplay once you're in that situation or is the counterplay to never be in that situation? if the latter, fuck me for playing melee I guess

It's crazy how much crafting bench and trade is a crutch for getting into maps. I unironically enjoy exalt slamming a decent item and ending up with something pretty good for ssf standards. I wish there was more to mapping or endgame, or even some sort of challenges to give me some sort of goal beyond reach max level.
Also Armour + applies to ele damage is kinda based, I'm not even res capped at around t6 maps and I feel quite tanky so far, with so much room for improvement.
Can't wait to cook up something cool with desecrate and omens.
