Reminder KnK was seen as a risky project because it was a 7 movie adaptation of a novel Nasu wrote long before Type-Moon got incredibly popular. Nasu openly admitted that the starting concept for Sakura was Asagami Fujino from Kara no Kyoukai but Sakura is a far more boring character.
Sakura is almost consistently reactive or passive for the majority of the plot with the Shadow being something that is tied to her, but not her own actions. It's hard to get invested in her because of that and the reasons you listed.
At least Fujino is an active character in her story and there's still enough of a twist to keep you invested in the story once you start figuring out what's actually going on.

They auto-complete pretty much instantly yeah. The only missions you have to do if you ticketed for NP level are the ones to run the chosen servant in your party up to 10 times (inconvenient to me as my servat was bond 15), use their NP up to 3 times, and listening a line of theirs In My Room 1 time (the mission completes after you leave the room).

If you have the slots, try to add people with the CE MLB, even if it's randoms if you don't mind padding your FL with some. If you mean the bronze and silver materials, I'd definitely not pass on them unless you're beyond the 400's and even depending on the material and how many servants you intend to level, I'd still keep on buying them to be honest (things like bones, void, bullets, spinal fluid, fangs, proofs and so on). I think the non-gold material you may really consider skipping are the silver class pieces, depending on your own demand and how many you already have. Fortunately Pieces aren't as heavily demanded for Class Score (if you intend to level that feature) like monuments are to a huge extent.

If you're comfortable using blue and bronze aples to haste event shops it's ultimately your call, but I'd urge you or any beginners to save them for lottos where every single bronze apple really counts and what will really haste your account progression overall (we also have a Gudaguda raid which might be interesting coming soon). Personally, I always go natural AP until the last few days, when I really sense I will need to use a few to get what I'm missing and when I know natural AP won't be enough, but most of the times natural AP covers my shop needs, which tend to be most of the shop still anyway (for instance I've been buying monuments for certain classes since they announced OC).

'Slow and steady' really wins the race in FGO when it comes to event progress, and managing your apple resources optimally at every event will give you a bigger surplus of apples and stored AP to use on key event lottos or raids that will put you and your account in a good spot.

Depends on how leveled or strong your roster is. Even a well leveled, decently skilled 3* using class advantage could take a single break bar of ORT by themselves, which can drastically reduce the AP cost of the raid too, but there's quite a few break bars to mow through there. If you have say, a group of 10~15 SR's and SSR's, and assuming like 4 bronze or silver servants per break bar to be the cost on your lower ones, I think you might be looking at something within the 30~50 servant mark but it depends, I didn't have a particularly difficult impression because I was probably using blackgrail on my servants on the early bars that don't give any bond, so my impression is probably skewed. The raid itself has a restart save point if you run out of servants so it's not too daunting.

Make sure to save at least two teapots for the last two ORT fights with your chosen party when you do them, as they give 10k bond as base level each.

The really difficult individual fight in lb7 (not the ort raid) is a ruler and very importantly doesn't let you use CS revives but I'm pretty confident your Cummer can handle it. I wouldn't disagree with this advice but very few people will blame you for using revives on the specific fight I'm mentioning. No one had an easy time on that fight, even day 1 players.

The best thing I can say is it'll be a boon to have Cummer since the enemy is both threat to humanity trait and divine trait and Cummer has special advantage against both, but I still have my doubts that you'll be able to beat it.
