Is Gemini Cup the worst one? There's one specific Gold Ship build everyone has that wins 99% of races, and when they go up against each other it's just whoever procs the most skills. There's like no way to guarantee wins.

The B+ rank Mihono Bourbon I put in my team as a Front Runner to fill it out has been cinching wins somehow. I don't get it. She only has 890 Speed and 1060 stamina with only Swinging Maestro as her recovery. Of course my whole team gets absolutely destroyed when faced against actual built umas with at least 1100/1100 Speed and 2 gold recoveries, but it's still a surprise seeing Mihono Bourbon get 1st.

May not be the best, but I finally have a Gold Ship I am pretty satisfied with all things considered and RNG hell. First competent Gold Ship I also was able to get Stamina Eater with as well, so the stamina may be very slightly below 1000, but I think I should be good for the 90% considering my other Gold Ship only had two gold recoveries with 1050 stamina. Not my experience at all. Gold Ship is one of 3 major threats but I'm still crushing the Gold Ships on both teams in most races. Brian is a bigger problem and Taishin can sometimes pop off but it's rare.

Is there any way to sort the sparks I have that are good? The ingame filters are too simple, they don't even let you look for specific skills or URA sparks
I have hundred of umas now and most have shit sparks I am pretty sure

That's it. Best acceleration multiplier so they can really take off if the dice rolls their way. You need some late-race velocity skills to go with it too. Velocity skills that pop because they breathed is bad for them like Curvature.

I stopped using mayano because I noticed her not having initial friendship is brutal on the runs, I'm mainly using Seiun and Mejiro because of their priority and higher friend bonus/mood effect

The game looks like a roguelite, but its not.. I'm a big fan of RLs. After 1.5months, I realised... I'm not having fun anymore. reasons below:
1) The focus is on the metagame, not the runs. In a normal roguelike, you do runs because they're fun and you enjoy them, and the metagame is just there as a nice extra guaranteed bonus at the end of runs to give you a sense of progression and reward. In Uma Musume, after the first month of play, the runs hardly matter, or are even enjoyable because of the repetitiveness; they are basically just rolling the dice for 30 minutes and hoping you get something good at the end of it, either a racer for a different gamemode, or a good legacy spark parent. And for most runs, you will get nothing, making you feel you wasted your time, to incentivise you to swipe your credit card for better umas and supports.

2) The randomness is punishing, instead of adding fun variance or good things. In a normal roguelike, randomness is there to keep things interesting and sometimes gives you lucky moments that feel good. Sure you will lose runs, but you can clearly identify your own mistakes and do better next time. In Uma Musume, the randomness is there to punish you, by making you not get what you expected for what you brought (inspirations, skill hints, supports being in their rooms, support events not triggering, winning races when overstatted), or just straight up give you unavoidable negatives to ruin your run (random mood downs, Night Owl). Instead of being fun, randomness is here to punish you, so you are incentivised to eliminate it by swiping your credit card for better supports.

The game has a good core, but is corrupted by gacha game design that essentially turns it into an addictive loop of despair to drive you to swipe your card more. I wish I could rather just pay like 70$, get all the horse girls, play their careers and enjoy them, then be done with the game after about 50 hours, rather than... whatever this is. :(

Not enough HP. she really needs swinging and cooldown and bofa to be reliable. I've been running Bourbon myself and Cooldown procs at bad times a lot. If it wasn't so shit she'd have a few more wins probably. Stacking BOFA on top of it raises the chance of not having a shit run from 50% to 75%.

Honestly I wasn't expecting her to win at all, just die and let Daiwa blast off, but she surprised me with those 3. I'm in the middle of trying to make a better one now. Maybe I can raise that WR to double digits if I can get another heal and a few more midrace speed boosts to preserve the lead.
