It's so-so, mutilate has really high base damage + scaling with your daggers. Your biggest issue will be that envenom is your highest dps skill but it requires deadly poison stacks for which you don't have the time to build almost ever. On top of that you will get kited to death without shadow step
Disclaimer though: I played assassin only in the 40s and 50s bracket and got dual spec after that

dual spec is a bandaid for bugs and imbalance. the price drop was a desperate bone thrown to try maximise retention

Not being a doomer, just being realistic at this point: I knew epoch would have bugs and balance issues. I accepted those with the promise of the devs they would be very active in fixing and balancing those issues.
Sure the C&D threw a wrench in their plans but I can't help feel like they are
a. overwhelmed by the amount of issues and balance problems
b. they actually don't work on it anymore so the ascension team puts epoch on the back burner until bronzebeard is ready to release and then put some extra devs on epoch
Either way, I have enjoyed my journey to 60 and probably will fuck around for 2-3 more weeks and then check in from time to time in hopes they have addressed the many issues.

Turtle has 8 years of development going for it and 2.0 by end of year
BBC+ is so wildly different from everything else it has an appeal
Conquest of Azeroth has 21 custom classes, new zones, new quests etc.
Azeroth at War has custom zones, custom races, a whole new class with zero monetization
WALL is doing crazy stuff
all of these will be launched in the next 6 months

Speaking contentwise: class balance and pvp is dead on turtle. From what I heard paladin is the hero class getting everything while other classes are just left in the dust. From what I have seen the end game pve is already solved and done three times over while they are adding more leveling zones for some reason

Anyone with more technical knowhow can tell me why former Epoch devs put a "fixed" status in their changelog for Deadly Poison, Execute and Primal Fury and NONE of these things work to this day?
Meanwhile Ascension devs who I reported these bugs to closed the tickets as duplicate and re-raised them on Epoch's github bug tracker saying they can't replicate them.
Now Epoch devs are gone and no one even tries to fix those urging class bugs, not a single one.

Yeah, after playing rogue a bunch in the end-game dungeons it's very clear that the power increases of players through tbc / wrath talents is way too high for rogue to be useful.
Sure you can sap a target, stunlock and solo tank the caster mob but in most cases the damage is just so high that there is no need for the utility whatsoever. Rogues currently are IEA bots in raids unless the boss fights in raid take so long that the sustained long-term damage makes a difference. Still holding out the hope that there will be balance patches to address these issues

Two playtests ago the woodelf starting zone was horrible, all textures looked straight out of 99 and npcs were standing on rows next to spawn point and the city was almost completely empty and mobs were randomly spawned around the zone with no rhyme or reason.
With the latest playtest textures were greatly improved, city was populated, mobs around the zone were nicely in their own camps and they added gathering nodes etc stuff so they are actually doing at least some dev work.
