Children get less meat and leather when butchering animals.
And she could also be considered an animal because she died untamed. Wild animals yield less meat than yours. Idk if it should work like that for human pawns, but even if you arrest a wild pawn, you can't rectuit her and have to tame her instead. By not using it? Its even more comical than base Rimworld. What made me realize this was fighting a centipede in melee with a breach axe where neither of us were able to do damage to each other. CE only selectively applies its "realism", you can break uranium walls with your fists but hundreds if not thousands of hits later with a breach axe and that centipede hasn't lost any HP when "realism" should dictate that the centipede would have had all its armor shredded and ripped off by then.

CE Neanderthal raids are beyond comical just due to the fact you can dump dozens of HP 5.56 rounds into a grug and he will still be moving. 12 gauge buckshot him in the face? Grug missing nose but shrugs it off.

my favorite CE moment was installing CE compatible HAR mods where the HAR weapons have more range than the CE sniper, custom bullets that allows the HAR weapon to kill mechs, and enough accuracy bonuses so that the full auto 70+ weapon on suppress will land every hit.

Did they ever patch the Nomadic: Desired precept to work with the Gravship playstyle, or does that still not work? I remember trying it when Odyssey came out and my colonists were all upset that they hadn't relocated yet, even though by that point the Gravship had landed in 4 different tiles already.

Molotovs and stick bombs make quick work of them. Both are pretty cheap and you can stockpile a few dozen of them until you get launchers. Sycthers are very vulnerable to the pitfall traps in CE, not sure if that's in vanilla as well.
Human raiders are balanced out by ammo costing resources a bit, they are also very deadly if they have guns. So I usually use melee guys early game.
I think I'll stick with CE going forward, but thanks for perspectives.

Weather was almost completely static, temperature barely changed and no rain ever. Flashstorms still happened and the entire island would just burn.
Hunting camps and other world sites would spawn in skyspace but if you visited them it would just be another default planet map.
No raids, there were some insects in the caves on this island when I first landed so maybe infestations happen but I wouldn't know.
Biomes on these islands would change every time you reload the game.
No way to generate new sky islands or control where they spawn on map creation.

Because mods have inherent instability and limited scope. If someone wants to make Rimworld but better I would assume that these features would be integrated more seamlessly.

For example, Vehicles from Vehicle Framework currently can't dogfight and combat with them is kinda clunky. Same with Z-levels: all the z-level mods have weird bugs with pathing and tasks and stuff and basically none have cross-level interactions like combat.

I barely reached like 12 years, but I got loading issues if I use the 100% maps and maxed number of cities when starting, it somehow does some kind of calculation which freezes the game every now and then if I do so (and this happens barely after starting my game).
