What worked for me was Aoe nuking with yek on every turn, casting the accuracy + surety buff on my frontline (or the evade one if your evade is lacking) and FPSing the middle guy. Heavy attack might work too since FPS can get interrupted by oneshots

Buff spells, status cure spells, bunch of passives. Only heal need divine power so just carry extra staff in the backpack for emergency. Priest on anybody is great utility, like pocket swiss army knife.
That is if you gonna use him, if he gonna be dispatch fooder then there is less reason to do it. Anyway 400 gems for gunch of passives and spells is still cheap.
