By the time the SFV era started everything has fallen flat on its face. 8ings has tripped on every opportunity they got, Dimps doesn't even make fighting games anymore, Kamone despite doing ok managed to fumble the release of every game he released, any hope of Capcom producing a non-SF fighting game is dead, all the indie games are dead and NRS are back to producing shit. People who gave chance to new franchises spent $60 for games that are dead in 2 months, so everyone is terrified of getting too hyped up about a new game. And those that weren't bought Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves and/or Hunter×Hunter: Nen×Impact.
I do not need to describe to you the dire state of 3D fighting games and the massive fall they've suffered since '09.
