New to all this, I've been using Deepseek R1 for TF fetish roleplays and I like it, it's very "creative" but it sometimes gets to the point of absurdity where it's way too into the character and just goes really hammy and inserts a lot of random absurd escalations like suddenly having the walls in a bedroom unfold to reveal a high tech secret lab in an otherwise mundane setting.

Any ways to make Deepseek more "normal" or some better alternative model? I already imported one of the presets listed in the OP links.

I don't have a bunch of personas because I usually just do a quick overview of the MC. (I will have the LLM write for {{user}} alot actually.) But I do have a lore book I modified and stole some parts from other lorebooks to shove into it to make an AU. Unfortunately I ran into the same issue with dogshit cards as 99% of it is Hornet goonbait. I had to steal those and cut down the goon parts. For the one in pic rel I flat out deleted like 99% of a card over time making changes and ship of theseus'd it hard. It's funny because Hornet actually didn't show up once for a 100 message session I did. The LLM was completely fine focusing on side characters. I did start to notice alot of isms but that was an issue with my preset.
