Even if you don't know what players to add, you can always suggest new player models. It'll be easier once I get around to posting pictures of them and you can see how old some of the models are, like for instance Balanced For Multiplayer's model was made around the time Stellaris 2.0 came out and that's built into its model.

and there are some like that, for example in the map I posted the one named "incedius" has no planets, degon went nova early on and is just an asteroid field now

100 systems would absolutely be unplayable with these mechanics, and 100 is laughably tiny in the context of a real galaxy, there is no meaningful difference between 1 and 100 on a real galactic scale. unless you have in mind a way to manage millions of planets it's not realistic.

actually I think there was a game like that, after the empire or something.

one of the downsides of free movement is you can't really have a defense in depth, thats what starlanes give you at the expense of other things.

in moo you certainly need to make a network of jumpgates to reinforce the front. you need to infiltrate spies to see what defenses they have, and every 4X ever have scouting.

so idk what the fuck you are talking about.

From what I saw so far (and a little dive into the "manual", aka the wiki, dev please, move on to wiki.gg instead of fandom), there are (for the humans, mind you):
- the engineer shuttle, who do all the hard work,
- the freighter, who are armed (some xenos ships seem to have stealth instead)
For the shipyard:
- the fighters, who are cheap (50 metal), ignore terrain, but have weaponry specialized against them, and cannot be upgraded, but with proper support (aka a carrier) to protect them and repair them, they can be really good,
- the orca, some corvette thing? It can be upgraded, unlike the fighters, and it's resistant to the first line of defense, but they're a bit slower. Make a lot of them.
- the hailstorm, who is a missiles-firing ship. Little defense, bad against fighters and ships, but pretty good against defense, with a long range,
- a bomber? I couldn't play long enough to try them, I'm gonna go ahead and assume they're like fighters but even more fighters: hit harder, even less defense... They seem to be cloaked, according to the wiki, but are also a fuckload more expensive, a fighter is 50 metal, a bomber is 50M AND 75 tachyon, another ressource you mine.

For the merchantport:
- Kutuzov. It's a deployable HQ to allow forward building.
- Pasteur. It's the repair ship, with upgrade, it also regenerates shield and remove status effects. Uses energy, kinda like the Medic from that obscure game, Starcraft...
- Teller. It's a... "tactical thermo-nuclear craft"? Hell, I don't wanna know. Also uses energy, think of an AoE Yamato Cannon. Probably.
- Joseon, a support ship. Not quite sure what it does, apparently it's a pure caster. Think of the Science Vessel in Starcraft, but with a (small) cannon.

Then there's the deckyard units. I'm pasting from the wiki here:
- St. Georges, the Br*tish ship. Famous for the awful meal they serve the crew, and their obsession with tea. It's a carrier, so if you like fighters, you want one of these, or two, or three
Anonymous No.539643434 >>539645289 >>539647139
Still for the deckyard units, there are also:
- the Avenger. It seems to have a mark II version? I'll see that when I'll get to it. It's a battleship, this thing is designed to fuck your mouth until you love it. Commanded by a woman, for some reason, I bet she speaks with a German accent.
- Dresda, some kind of "anti-shield, anti-fighter" ship? Not sure why it's so high in the tech tree, but I guess it's for when the enemy turtles so well that the missile cruisers isn't enough to break through.

Then there are also "heroes units" that I can recruitable at the HQ, but I don't know anything about them. I'll assume they're just normal units but stronger?
And what the fuck, the Renegades DLC added even more units to this? The wiki's kinda broken so I can't check these, I'll have to play the game again whenever I can.
Anonymous No.539643758
To further explain the game, you have like... six ressources?
Metal, the basic one. An engineer will carry 7 of it at once, back to the mining plant, and it has to be ferried back to the HQ. An engineer costs 50 metal, same as a fighter. It looks like gold.
Helium-3, it's blue. Used as another ressource, mandatory to make anything that isn't a fighter.
Tachyon, it's green. Used for advanced training and research.
Energy, you get that one by building solar plants (+2/s per plant), or fusion reactors (+5/s). It has a low cap, and it's spent very quickly (I think a corvette is 75€, and every solar plant raises the cap by 200, so do the math), but it's unlimited. To my knowledge, you can't turn energy into metal or anything.
Supply cap. Build more supplies depots.

>Hero units
Sounds kinda like the story mode of Conquest.
In that game hero ships would have their own unique models, but you couldn't build them like normal ships.
Interestingly, in skirmish mode, while you couldn't get hero ships, you could get the individual admirals who were assigned on those ships in campaign.
You could attach them to any ship in your fleet and order them to abandon ship when needed.
Each different admiral would give some bonuses on their specific favorite class of ships, one would boost missile cruisers, another carriers, third would boost battleships, dreadnoughts and supply ships, etc.

Hey hey people.
Welcome to Quesadilla - Fantasy Kingdom Simulator. I might have the name wrong.
In Messada, you play as a prince, with kingly ambition, who is forbidden of leaving his bedroom because the second you walk out, horny maids throw their panties at you.
So you have to hire heroes to do your dirty work for you.

That means felling monsters, not plowing your maids.
Anonymous No.539788976
Blackmessa plays vaguely like Driftland, in the way that you don't direct your heroes directly, instead, you plant fags deeply inside a monster's anus, and the monetary reward will influence how much heroes are interested:
- depending from their affinity (knights are more interested in defense flags, while rangers prefer to explore),
- depending from their levels (you better pay up if you wanna get Garrett, a level 1 rogue, to attacking Gromskull Whitemane, a level 99 black bear).

But we need money before anything, so let's build some lumbercamps, who will clear the map and make some delicious brouzoufs for us.

The rangers are definitely hotter than in others fantasy kingdoms simulators.
And they get experience just by exploring, which is nice too. Sadly, they keep that nasty habit of fucking off once the map is fully revealed. Which can be a problem since this game features fog of war, so new monsters can pop up from the grim darkness to inhabit your rectum forcefully in a non-consensual way.
Anonymous No.539789464
The guilds are definitely smaller in size, and feel more... I dunno, generic?
I dunno if it's me imagining it, but there's definitely a Warcraft artstyle, I see the same things in Ale & Tale, and in Godsworn, some vivid, very coloured stuff with large stones buildings.

one of the big differences is aoe2 has more anti-rushing mechanics, and lategame turns into castle spam. like you said the towers are very powerful and if used offensively basically break the game. your defensive options are a lot more limited in 1.

the relics are also mobile self-driving arks (straight out of an old english legend lol) which can be captured like sheep, so there's no just sitting on relics safe in a church for the whole game

and there's also a victory condition for capturing holy sites dotted around the map

aoe2 is very turtly, between the more limited defenses and more active victory conditions 1 is a much faster and more dynamic game
