Shiou has always been bad in part because shes too hard to build compared to everyone else and that comparison just got so much worse for her. Whales and grindmaxxing NEETs succeeding with her doesn't mean she's actually good.

Seems like fleeing gets heavily penalized in foray speed now, got like 130 extra from fleeing two fights and avoiding the mobs against just fighting straight there.

No. You really just have to learn to build teams. Unlike most gacha games there are no big losers to avoid, you just look at what classes they get, what element they are, and what their innate ability is. Everyone in the same class does the same thing outside of innate and legendary skills, with some stat differences that can be largely geared around.

You could think it will be axes, but again def is flat damage reduction, so 30% def ignore is literal nothingburger once you stack 10k damage, most endgame enemies have like 200-300 damage reduction
So the difference between sword, axes and maces is literally just base stats, and mace gets a bit higher miss damage and can stun

I honestly don't see an issue. With no shield you are not getting high EVA on any Fighter. You are significantly less tanky and you get more damage. The tradeoff is fair IMO.

It triggers not that often(it was nerfed, before both hands could trigger it, not anymore), so you can't directly setup for it, it doesn't increase damage that much(it's flat def reduction, so flat damage increase), since debuffs slots are limited to 3, you will either run with 2 debuffs most of the time, or will risk overwriting debuff
I initially had plans for multi attack build for Kiriha, with 3 def reduction stacking(armor break, corrosion, morlis) but damage is shit and it's just not worth it
Also as a junk it's rare. You legit would have trouble to +15 it, not even talking about +20
But in general ninjas are in bad spot right now. Skills are shit, damage is shit, gimmick is shit, needs lvl70 skills to unbrick them

According to people who have him, he does 10 damage per PIE, then heals for 40% of damage dealt. So with 100 pie from his discipline and gacha gear, you'd be looking at 1000 damage, heal for 400 per enemy hit, before applying MDEF.

If inherited, it drops to 6 damage per PIE, and heals for 16% of damage dealt. Characters will have between 30-60 PIE without IV or BP. At BEST you're looking at a pumped up Valdor with maybe 110 PIE if you have all the gacha gear and perfect stats, which would be 660 damage, 105 heal per enemy hit (316 for 3 enemies), BEFORE MDEF, which would probably cut that in half.

the originals were pretty relentless. I feel like it was definitely 'cooler' than pokemon, tho I love both. I think the series breeding mechanics are in a great spot but overall the series has declined a lot since the move to 3d. It could have kept up as something more akin to mystery dungeon with breeding but with 3d they tried to add storylines and things like that to the game.
