i've tried doing them, they're harder than you'd think because his energy pool for assault boosting is lower than the pre-season test build, his turning cap is lower too. i forgot what the specific challenge was but iirc it's "kill 3 enemies in assault boost mode" or something, what it doesn't tell you is that it's asking you to kill 3 enemies in a single assault boost, not 3 separate assault boosts.

Depends on the paint you want. Usually its quality matters for its price the most, just check paint with low smoothness and metalness. I set those numbers to 0-5, had a bunch of options to buy starting with 5 corite.

they're both immune to damage. you can't hit "allies". i confirmed this many times as serenith by tapping welkins with the grapple and watching them spin on me harmlessly. likewise on hel i can snipe-disguise an aquila that's fighting another sniper / flier elsewhere (or any other enemy up to 750m away iirc) and dismantle / capture keys and there's NOTHING the enemy team can do.

Alphard is fun, I don't play Falcon so can't really compare them, butr for me it seems like Falcon is slightly better at doing this job? His barrel rolls can give you an opportunity for a consistent DPS, on Alphard I'm just zooming around, switching between his forms and going back and forth around the target. Also, Falcon has a recon kit against invisiblre targets.

Alphard has significantly higher burst than Falcon (if you can hit everything), Falcon does have higher dps just by virtue of much shorter cooldowns and better air time than Alphard, so it's just a matter of what you're looking for in a flier. For solo queue I imagine Alphard is better because it can get picks easier if you're on the same target as your ally. However bear in mind that Alphard is absolutely unusable indoors, so it's just a dead pick on some maps.

Inferno was an obnoxiously OP flying sniper focus fire assassin tank. They nerfed mainly his mobility and slowed down his ability to unload full clip of charged shots. The main gun was always limited by the reload rate anyway so his long-term damage is basically identical. Ground mobility is improved (like with Hurricane)

Cooldown doesn't count when it's on, so the actual usage interval is more like 13 seconds -> 15 seconds.

The issue beyond the tight quarters of indoors impeding your movement is that your aux 1 and 3 will not land because you're too close, this is the majority of your damage. There's about half a second during boost where you can't input any commands, by the time you can actually fire aux 3 on A point in Misra you're halfway across the room. Falcon and Skyraider have somewhat similar issues but can slow down to drop their payloads, Alph can't.

I'm finding the bigger problem to be that the aim of the Electro-trail is fucking terrible. It fires off to the sides and does a little arc and it has very poor homing so most of the time it'll just miss even if you are locked onto someone after activating the boost and using it in time, regardless of range.

Yeah it's terrible, that's part of what I meant by sweet spot. If you're too close it will just arc around them, if you're too far it will despawn before it hits them. Your only recourse is to practice the range, but even then it will miss sometimes if they dodge at the right time. It wouldn't be so bad if you could fire it without boost but I guess since it's technically a flier it needs a skill locked behind flight mode like Falcon and Skyraider.

The killcams are very obvious most of the time, especially with snipers. Bots also tend to play very formulaic; you get familiar with how they play. Mechanically bots are very good; they (at high tiers) will time abilities perfectly to beat you. If everyone on your team readies up fast and the game starts immediately, it could be bots (less chance of the 9/10 matchmaking thing happening with less players). Same players as previous games aren't bots. Bots don't talk in chat. You can't determine if someone is a bot by the name, or the profile or anything else, as they copy the profiles of real players.

Personally I like the shield because it gives reason to not constantly toggle the ability on/off. 48k is a lot though. I think it'd be nice if all toggle abilities had some incentive to keep it up, other than the primary use.
