When they leaned into making Francine as batshit as Stan is it really made them a good couple and definitely a stronger couple than a case like Mario and Peach where they don't really have a defined dynamic in the main games besides Mario rescuing her from Bowser. Like any long running animated sitcom Stan and Francine have their episodes where wedges are driven between them but you can say that they truly do fit each other which you can't really say with a lot of other cartoon couples.

Finally completed all of the P-Switch missions in Mario Kart World yesterday. I'm still missing some stickers for reaching certain milestones (distance traveled, coins collected, etc.), but other than that, I'm pretty much done with the game.

Im one of those freaks that just love M&L gameplay and I really don't care if DT and BRS are as long as they are, because it means I can enjoy them longer until the next one. I will say, a more condensed experience and more bosses would benefit the next title. Make sure to make the characters a bit more interesting too, outside of the characters with actual designs like Connie, Extension corps, Zokket, GC, the concordians fucking suck.
Work on the scenarios too, like the fire and ice chiefs not being important to the story is just lame, they look like the designs were thought of in seconds and could have severed as boss fights for sea 3, where maybe they are brothers that actually want the islands to remain separated because of hot and cold racism and the bros have to calm them down by beating them, stopping their war or something of the sorts. M&L needs to borrow from PM story scenarios. I think lottacoins is one of the best parts of the game given it's structure of Interesting scenario>Town>Dungeon>Boss

How come 2D Mario’s quality nosedived after the SNES era? Tried NSMB on DS recently and the jump physics feel worse than in World, almost no air control, no freedom to pull off cool moves. And all the later 2D Marios are built around multiplayer, so the levels are just wide empty platforms and playing solo is so dull you practically want to fast-forward IN the level.

SMB3 and especially SMW still feel special, challenging, full of player autonomy, and even Yoshi’s Story at least nails the style and vibes. But since then...nothing hits the same.

The film really did make some baffling creative decisions. Making the one with nature Kong tribe who use wooden barrels for transporation in the games into car enthusiasts just to add unnecessary Mario Kart references where they didn't make any sense is just one example of the lack of care put into the film as a whole.

It's sadly a fair complaint. I usually couldn't care less about this stuff but the Mario movie almost feelsl ike parody of the girlboss trope and a Mario character assassination attempt. It's scene after scene of Peach acting like Kratos from God of War and Mario never getting anything done without overpowered items which makes it feel like he never accomplishes anything himself in the whole movie. Luigi never got a platforming trianing montage but at the end of the movie he's just as good as Mario, so I guess the morale of the story and what they think the games are like is: we are all the same, cheat and take steroids.
