17W/3L in DL17 with Gem Knights so far. I had a version with Superpoly earlier but decided to take'em out for a few more board breakers and more ED space. Deck is super strong and is the only thing making the Maliss meta even remotely tolerable for me currently.

I spent 9k gems on the recent pack and only pulled 1 Nepyrim 1 Dispersion. It hurt but I just crafted the rest since I've got a good stockpile and the upcoming Selection packs seem like they'll have stuff I want. Also crafted 3 of Regenesis since I pulled 3 Archfiends and 2 Lords.

Long answer: Current Lunalight is a lot better than people give it credit for. Which is to say that it's not great but sorta OKish. Check out the youtube channel called royal van dyke or something like that if you want to see what a dedicated Lunalight player can do. He only plays Lunalight and gets them to M1 most seasons even through like Snake Eye format. Although I think he may have taken a break from MD to play TCG sims in order to use the new cards.

I made it to 16 and only lost twice so far, again most people can't help themselves and keep summoning under the charmies, the roach and even lancea, so i end up drawing an absurd amount of cards and overwhelm them. It helps that i've faced a shit ton of maliss players and always manage to make at least 1 charmy stick.

Fountain and Instant Fusion could come to 2 any day now. Teraforming to 1 too. Chundra and Kaimen could go up in like 2 years if they power creep them enough. That's probably it. Terraforming's weird to be banned because it's at 1 in both paper formats so they are still designing the game around it and specifically make cards into field spells with the intention of letting you have 4 copies. They already banned the heckin' Perlerino so there's not much to worry about. Sangan Summoning is the only other real issue, but they can just drop Paidra to 2 as a tradeoff as well as limit Gold Sarc which they're probably already going to do for Maliss.

I play white Forest with centurion, haven’t done pure. But while the combos are long, they are also much more tolerable to navigate. Like again, people call Malice a broken easy deck but that’s not true, you have to learn tons of flowchart combos without any of the freedom decks like Tearlaments or even Branded give as far as combo goes. If the combos aren’t free form, I tend to hate it.
Anyway for white Forest it’s honestly worth considering and the pack isn’t even that bad if you have exodia or Millenium stuff since I think it’s with Millenium eyes restrict? Or maybe it was changed.

Honestly, it's fine if you build a good board. That's what decks should attempt to do, after all.
But I think the draw effects of Chessy and Binder are retarded. Draw 3 in a turn and 1 more in the next turn? Bullshit.
I say bullshit because it allows for the player to either end their turn with more cards in hand than they started with or refill their hand after firing their Crossout, Called By etc.
In both cases it means they will very probably (read: 99%) get access to tons of disruption.
Worse yet this Ignister and Allied Code Talker shit only made the situation much worse because if before you could at least neuter them with correct disruption, now you feel like Schrodinger.

I think draw power in general isn’t fun when paired with a combo deck. Like okay I understand the need to have some because you need to continue the combo but Malice does end up on the egregious side of it where you can replenish your hand completely if you do it right. Let’s not forget the greed plays with allure on top which are straight up plussing like pot of greed on that deck.

There are multiple 1-card combos, which don't need additional draw power to be complete.
Maliss also has a fuckton of starters. Enough starters that makes other decks envy.

This is my second account that I made shortly after i bricked my first one on release of the game. Spent money on the first account only to realize that 1. it's pointless, 2. It just takes time to build up gems, and 3. If you don't know what you're doing, you'll brick your account regardless because Yugioh is just "baptism by fire" since ranked is the only way to earn gems.

Never spent a penny on my current account and have all the UR dust and SR dust I'll ever need and playable decks. The issue is the unpredictability of Konami's banlists and not knowing if they're going to murder off a deck you put a lot of effort and time into building and researching.

Wont lie, I spent 1500 SR dust trying to get a Ransom royal after having obtained a Binder royal on 3 craft try. Felt lucky, game reminded me my place.

I do intend to spend a bit of money to get Diabellstar alt art, same for 3 Kagari and 1-2 Shizuku, if I fail with my gems (12k gems right now).

One more bundle I recommend is Triple Tactics Talents, that card has won me so many games I try to always run 1 in most of my decks.

I don't know much about RDA, but bystial are all very good cards used in several decks. Try to get at least 1 Druiswurm and 1 Baldrake, and when you can, craft Magnamhut, that card is limited in all formats for a reason.

At this point I would slowly improve your RDA deck with staples before throwing your gems away on selection packs. I spent 15k gems on Ryzeal and was still missing several URs.
That deck can easily get you to Gold 1 every season no problem. Just get gems, spend them, dismantle garbage, craft staples, and only then I'd pull for an actual "meta" deck.

Duo Drive can serve as a bridge from one engine to Ryzeal with its ability to search the exact 2 cards (not only monsters) you need before getting locked in r4nk, to set the field spell and make a Detonator or more. I saw some people on ranked do that with a Magistus engine with level 4s to bait interruptions, it's clunky but it works. Norden would do the same but without shitting the main deck with ass cards and negating him would be useless if Sword, Ext, or Ice were in hand, though I doubt that getting Norden unbanned would greatly change the game right now.

It really just depends on your luck, but since you have no UR dust, and Ryzeal uses several UR cards not present in the selection pack, like Exciton Knight, I'd say around 10~15k gems. It's a gamble for you now.

2 maxx c, 3 ash blossom, 3 imperm (or veiler), 2 called by, 1 crossout designator, 1~2 nib, and Magnamhut is a staple for many decks as well.

You can still get the cards from master packs, but that contains every card in the game, so realistically you're just gambling on random packs. It's not a good option. You can also just craft them directly. Still, 11k is plenty, and you can get another ~2500 before the pack expires, just from dailies. If you play the game without a concern for ranking up it's impossible to never reach plat unless you literally lose every game, losses don't count against you until Plat.

So if you're shit or barely play/don't want to grind (all of the above for me with an emphasis on shit) it's most economic gems wise to do the bare minimum for dailies and utilize events to try and not go past Gold 1 before end of season (so you get silver rewards when you rank down on new season and gold rewards).

If I go to Plat and get hardstuck Plat and just stay hardstuck plat I'll only get half the gems I would otherwise every single season.

the actual main deck is very cheap, the problem is them being Cyberse so they end up sharing cards with Code Talker and Ignister, which makes the deck more expensive than it would seem at first glance, any Cyberse deck is kind of an investment in and of itself because there's a lot of ED monsters that only work with Cyberse things like Splash Mage and the like

It's fine. It was very good like two years ago when it spent some time as one of the best decks in the game. Right now it's completely outclassed by Maliss since most Cyberse decks are extremely similar. And no one ever uses Final Shrigma, it's just used for its Xyz monsters and for generic cyberse links.

I was playing IDS because I looked over the options briefly and immediately fell in love with Construct and Winda as beloved waifu cards and because Dogmatika was the most aesthetic artwork I had seen overall. I just begrudgingly used Aleister and Mechaba because the mechanic was easy. I liked summoning cool cards like Purgatrio much more.

My neck major deck was Live Twins which is how I learned Links, hardly meta.
