The only resemblance it has is greeding for highest dps with your simple rotation between 6-8 skills (cooldown varies from 2 seconds to 2 minutes) while staying alive. The actual combat plays like WuWa. Healing skills are mostly map-wide.
Gathering is bad with some stuff gated behind daily stamina. Crafting is just clicking a button to convert stuff.
Housing allows you to rotate stuff 360 degrees on 3 axes so it has potential, the problem is it has mobile UI. Decorations are also expensive unless you gather a light party as permanent tenants to split the cost.

This is closer to a control style deck I think... I'm really not the best at this game but here's a full roach deck, you could try it out and see how it works for you. It's what my friend that mains roach gave me and I just kinda tweaked it for the new set. After you get more experience with the other decks out there, try to think about what the opponent's going to be playing like 2 turns ahead of you. You need to be able to have an answer while not wasting all your cards so you can have a combo ready to OTK. I'm bad at this and explaining stuff so I apologize.

Game is about doing 30-40 minutes of assorted dailies, then either grinding 2-3 minute dungeons for rerolling substats on gear. There's also the endgame stuff of weekly 20 man raids, e-peen master mode dungeons you only need to clear once, and biweekly tower floors.

Casual stuff is fishing, housing, and screenshots. All three subsystems are serviceable. Housing is slated to get better with the next major update. Can share housing, visiting others comes later. Screenshots has a lot more camera and emote control than base xiv gpose, but if you're looking for individual bone posing is not gonna happen. Fishing is an okay minigame imo. I've seen worse, and I've seen better. It is comfy though.

Fighting Games are removing special inputs like the too hard to execute Z-motion to do a Ryu Shoryuken. Now, every fighting game offers one button specials and one button supers.

Character Action Games were too complex for the mass audience. The Soul Genre took over the entire market for the past 15 or so years. Even when DMC came back as DMC5, it did not sell even close to what Dark Souls or Elden Rings sold. Souls games are more accessible whereas DMC will lure tryhards into your stream to bully you for not properly Jump Canceling. Next month in October, Ninja Gaiden 4 releases, and you're going to see some Streamers get bullied for sucking at the game and eventually not finish it because of the bullying.

For Armored Core 6, to cater to the mass audience, they implemented a Hard Lock-ON system so players could keep up with the on-screen action. They also slowed the game down heavily.

They were always for the mass audience. Their selling point is the fact you could go on an adventure with 100 other players. And even today FFXIV raiding is too complex for your average player. If you want to heal you got Oracles and soul guitarists, they mostly heal by just existing
