It's a joke that they ran into the fucking ground. In HoT there were some background chatter NPCs that would say lines like "Wow, that's quality armor!" "Take a look!" as a means of demonstrating some gear you could acquire in that zone's meta. In one zone they "punchline" this with three other NPCs all saying "Thanks!" at once. It was always just a little bit ambiguous whether that was a bug or intended. And that made if funny. It was one of those cute, organic, fan-favorite things the players adopted as a call&response meme. So naturally, like some flanderized zombie-Simpsons bullshit,, Anet took the joke and went full fucking retard with it, repeating it 1000x times in every recent expansion until all the life was squeezed out of it.

The skimmer preview was nice, I like that you get a permanent speed boost underwater if you also have the PoF mastery. The dragonfly skin looks very good, too, especially when compared to the hideous kryptis skyscale.

I hop over to my boosted alt because I want to try out a new class. I open the map to hop over to PoF maps to farm some hero points and I can't? That's what I did in EoD because I wanted to explore Cantha without starting the story. I think when I started I already had maxed the skiff mastery since you can unlock it via renown hearts.

The adds have low hp so you should be fine if you don't panic or just cc it to kill it. With my heal scrapper it was pretty close everytime to kill that add but doable.
