What now? I kind of forgot I don't really like vanilla/bc end game as classes really are not that interesting. Leveling is so fun and I love how heavy the rpg elements are compared to the rest of expansions but damn, end game just kind of sucks. And I really don't think there's enough changes on epoch to change that, It's still really just vanilla with some added fluff. I think classes and raids didn't really get interesting until wotlk, that expansions (well really mostly ulduar and icc) had a pretty decent balance between hard and interesting. Every past it kind of goes in the territory of over complicated and annoying to do. I wish someone would make a server with the leveling and class uniqueness of vanilla, with all of It's rpg elements and 'slow' gameplay but still kind of push classes somehow to be more interesting and have the complexity of ulduar and icc.
Damn bros, I don't know what to do. I will probably run all of the dungeons once or twice but fuck doing anything more than that, I've done my fair share of ubrs and strat. And I doubt there's a way to make mc interesting.

I just can’t wrap my head around it. Who spends years of development, carefully curates one of the most anticipated servers in all of wow history, painstakingly updates a whole new core, bug tracker, etc… and then just, dips? Lol

Blizzard harassment has been a common theme here for years. They knew with all the attention that something would happen. It’s crazy to me that they would dedicate sooooo much time to this, not only the years of development but the launch itself… weeks of sleepless nights, going through all the drama and then FINALLY getting your baby out of the gate to just be like naw… we’re good lol

On top of that it’s been weeks without a single leak or even a peep from the inside team or anyone involved… there has to be so much more to this story. It’s just so damn funny, kinda sad but overall odd af. Maybe ascension just paid them to fuck off… or maybe the community as a whole killed it by being absolutely insane. What do you expect when the devs capitulate at the first C&D? There was a very brief moment right when ascension announced the acquisition that it could have recovered from but that moment has long since passed. This server technically released in late August. It is now October and we still don't know if raids will even release yet. Dutch and his team are busy with the server they actually want to work on. It is unlikely we will get raids before the end of the year. It is without a shadow of a doubt the biggest pserver blunder in recent memory. The rest of the community really needs to take notes on this kind of thing to try and avoid it happening again.

This is also all while lvling professions/fishing/alt tab gooning and trying my best to do all quests in a zone. It's honestly surprising I never had to grind at all. I did most dungeons once (I think I did zf a few times because of quests but I also skipped stuff like DM, Gnomer, Stockades). And then only bgs I did was I think to bridge myself to lvl 30, so around a level and half of bg griding. And I still had a top of quests left WPL and a lot of quest chains that I did not do in every zone.

I joined a mass invite guild, most people got to lvl 7~ and haven't logged in since. From what I have seen the majority of starting zone activity was people exploiting hyperspawns and level scaling.
I have no doubt it has 5k+ people, but it definitely dropped hard.

1000-1500 PVE servers like Kezan are magical and peak comfy.
Suddenly no one cares if you play the right spec or class, people just want to do the content.

We're barely getting one bug fix a day and I can't even remember the last time I saw someone getting banned. Feels like the serves are totally unmoderated and there's actually 0 devs working on the project what so ever. If you want to be hopeful you can maybe assume It's because they're working on getting the raids fixed but still. If we take everything at face value and come to understand that the original devs really abandoned the project and dumped it on Dutch, who had no real plans to develop, then I really have no idea what's there to be hopeful about. I doubt finding a dev team from the grounds up for a project that has already been released is going to be easy especially for one that might not even be that profitable. I just find it so weird that Keyotes and team would just abandon the project after working on it for so long and it being a possibility for great revenue, It almost does not make sense.

For example: UBRS.
Emberseer became untargettable after a restart.
Rend's dragon no longer does it's custom mechanic properly.
