If you are just getting to arc 2 the most important thing you need is leveling the arc 2 talent levels of your main team (soulforged aptitude). You get the mats for that from your daily quests and from events. That will substantially boost your base stats, and for some characters also give you unique talents.

Try to aim for at least level 5 talents for your main team. DPS characters will want a little higher than that.

I don't think poison is very good in main story because its slow to get going so you die to mob fights. Its great in ddive wave 3 which is boss fights only though.

If you want big damage aoe/pierce, Kath at e3 works pretty well. Just throw some vuln at the enemies and she is extremly good at blasting mobs without much ramp up.

Kath is...flexible. Her flame will give her cards a % buff to final damage, shield, and aliemus.

You can stack the buff to her shield with other sources to the point it gets very big. Covenants like paradox or feast from afar will help buff her shield. Wods like the last verse (horla), land on nonexistance, or will unyielding (alva) also work. Running april on her and just ignoring all of this is also legit.

Your mileage may vary on where you land between pure burst and pure tank.

Getting stuck around chapter 5 of Arc1 right now, feel a little stuck cus my teambuilding is ass. Currently running Tawil/Caec/Murph/Tulu. Should I swap some stuff around? Here's my current roster. I just got Tawil cus everyone is recommending her, but I kinda wish I grabbed GHelot instead since I like her design better.

that's probably your best team right now and should be good enough for most of Arc1
you can replace Tulu with Nautila for more counter vs enemies with multihits or with Goliath vs enemies with str buffs (though Goliath is much better at e2 for this)

Don't worry, Ghelot will likely get a rerun during the upcoming anni in November, grab her along with Thais - her best support

And I used almost the same team as you when I started out, except with Nautila instead of Tawil, and that carried me to the end of chapter 8 - so it's doable. Take your time and level your team - having better stats will make things more managable. And use picrel SR wheels in arc 1 - they make shopping for good relics easier and Gluttony can give you more hp for survivability

To be honest I'm not all that impressed with Ghelot compared to Tawil. Having both(and their supports) and having borrowed whaled out ghelots just to really make sure it's not a stats issue she really doesn't feel good to play unless you reset for card RNG. If you don't draw right you just die, the team has zero survivability.

Final fight or exploration phase? Either way it's where game gets somewhat tough due to really bad resonance gift and final fight is no joke. Just focus on bumping the rest of the team to 50 and level the command cards. Tho Also not related to the current team you run. Don't sleep on Ogier. His cards are quite cheap and he provides decent amount of shield, but his rouse make into gigga STR stacker. And almost anyone in this game benefits from that. Even counter/shield characters. Yeah.

generally speaking, damage dealers want crit and dmg amp as main stats while supports want keyflare, dmg amp, death res and sigil yield
some exalt reliant characters want to be built around aliemus regen, such as Tulu who gains extra scaling from every point of aliemus regen you have on him and wants to exalt as often as possible for the tentacle generation
the exact covenant set doesn't really matter to you right now (and it varies for dps characters) so you can just put Steppenwolf an all of your characters but eventually you'll also want the Life Drain set for your supports as well as the death res set (whose name eludes me but it gives 25% death res in its 6 set bonus)
the Re-Evolution set is good for aliemus focused characters like Tulu
finally, if you're uncertain what set to use in a specific case, you can check the ladder to see which sets good players are going for

ghelot especially is pretty easy because you can max out enemy damage and leave enemy health at x0 early on. That puts you to 36k. Thats should be enough for deepdive master level rewards if you are new (second highest).

Enemy damage increases don't really matter that much to ghelot past the very first fight because you can burst down most encounters before they get a chance to proc your DR or worse case scenario furnace heal + gluttony wheel can tank a hit for you.

You really just need a thais and then you can borrow a whale ghelot. Rest of the team are standards.

The ghelot team I usually play for dailies is aequor caro. So Thais/aigis/celeste/borrowed whale ghelot with lone seed as the posse. If you need examples of wheel setups check the leaderboards. Most people are running this exact team with some small on wheels/posse. Not everyone runs it, but I would recommend bringing the rare wheel gluttony for the extra hp.

Celeste and aegis are your defense. Their exalts will typically buy you a turn to set up ghelot for burst. Celete revive will apply before DR and heal you, so don't be afraid to use it. It also gives 1 arith on activation.

Don't get spooked if you proc in the the first battle. That is your weakest point of the run by far. You might also need to restart battles a few times if you are new to ghelot.

There isn't a great deal to it. Play ghelot shackles and turn them into flails. Dupe flails with posse before the turn ends so they get the discount. During burst turns use thais exalt to dupe flails, In a pinch you can use thais to dupe her own cards to feed aliemus to celeste or aigis. Use ghelot exalt to discount all of your flails. Rouse order is ghelot first followed by thais.

If you see an opportunity to leave one enemy alive and to get an extra turn of charging your aliemus back up, take it. If you ever enter a fight with 0 aliemus on everyone you are likely going to have a rough time. Flails will heal you more if your health is low, so always use furnace after healing off flails if you are trying to tank a hit.

Depends on which one you use more. I'd probably lean toward thais' wheel simply because more teams can use it even if you aren't using thais while tawil's wheel tends to just be used on tawil. But then again if you play tawil more then going for tawil's wheel is probably more useful for you.
