i see very little reason to plant fruit trees outside of for gifting, but even then the fruit cave on your farm will more than likely take care of that especially with insta-iridium quality fruits with maxed foraging skill

I had briefly tried this game a couple times before when some friends wanted me to play it co-op with them. We never made it past a few days.
Recently however I wanted to really give this game a fair shake so I've been playing solo. Its gotten very addicting after getting a bit deeper past the first few days of spring.
Currently in my first winter now and have gotten myself the large coop and barn. I have become a man of the animals. Selling cheese and mayo is making me rich

People say it's a meme, but, blueberries can really get you going with cash to prepare for autumn, but in exchange, you are going to either water them by hand everyday (except on rain/storm) or strategically use sprinklers (which requires you going into the mines or getting really lucky with mystery boxes).

depends on how easy you want it, probably spam pumpkins in fall and use sprinklers, a bit harder is to upgrade your watering can before rainy days and water a lot of crops if you don't want to mine that much(I don't think I mine much but always end up with like 35 sprinklers before fall, which lets me plant like 200+ pumpkins and forget about crops), honestly this game just lets you accumulate wealth with crops, pretty much all of them are decent so you don't really need to think about money, it just takes some time to reinvest your money back into crops. I'm currently at fall 13 year one and made 200k total and I've been pretty lazy this playtrough.

no, I'm usually done with the mines in like 5-6 in game days, early fishing really helps because you can get the backpack and a pickaxe upgrade pretty fast and carrots are good for energy, I get a couple from trout derby, you can get 4 from Mayor's ticket machine, and the rest are crafted from the stuff I have around, fire quartz can be melted into 3 refined quartz which helps too.

No I don't do anything special, I just clear around 20 floors a run, you can also safely pass out outside of the mines if you want to, you probably have less than a thousand gold on you and don't pay that much. Oh I also lucked out this run and fished out Neptune's glaive before starting mines(3 fucking times this save file) which made fighting trivial, if I didn't get it I'd probably use a club type weapon and spam it's special attack for giga damage.

I finally did River Farm and holy shit, the gold you make 1st year Spring is ridiculous. I was making about 4-5k a day by the end of the month. I would have made a ton more except I pulled a Dino Egg on Day 11 so I just had to build a coop. The amount of treasure you get is also pretty ridiculous The only hard part about the River Farm is getting enough coal to fuel the smoker. You can even abuse the cabin trick for smokers at 100g each but I didn't feel the need to.

I wonder how fast you can get the Golden Clock just going River Farm/Joja. It's far and away the best gold snowballing strat.

I'm getting large iridium rated bottles of milk and at pierre's they're selling for like 40 gold more than if I were to turn them into cheese. best 1.6 casual minmax is Sheep, kegging takes too long unless you're doing cheese (cheese is almost as much gold/day as Starfruit Wine).

Just load Greenhouse/Ginger Island with Ancient Fruit/Pineapples. Leave some room for Fiber Seeds and (if Sheepmaxxing) Wheat. The only rough part of Sheepmaxxing is you'll go through a Silo's worth of hay very quickly in the winter.

With 4 barns of just Sheep I do 100k-200k a day while maintaining optimal laziness, plenty of time to wander around every day doing whatever the hell I want. Best part about Sheep is, unlike Truffles, you can just ignore them for weeks and the money is still there, waiting in your auto-grabber.

Do NOT go Artisan for Sheep. You get wool every day with Shepard, so it's a 100% bonus instead of 20%. (Rancher bonus is 20%, and it counts for both wool and cloth, so Artisan bonus is only 20% on animal products due to opportunity cost.) Artisan is highly overrated in general.

I process it, but if you're lazy and just dump the wool the penalty is only bad early on. Purple/Gold Wool is worth 2 cloths, so it's about 300 extra gold for processing instead of dumping. If you have a ton of barns, it might be more time-efficient to not process the wool, but you might as well just let the wool sit there until you have a day where you don't feel like doing anything but sitting in a Shed full of looms.

The dungeon areas in Visit Mount Vapius are even worse than Sunberry's in term of resource bloat, Jesus. I was investigating a compatibility patch, and even have the beginnings of one in the Volume 1 download, but it turns out compatibility with Xtardew requires directly editing its content.json file, as the author left its portrait loading code on the default priority which prevents any other mod from loading their own
The author also goes MIA for months on end and didn't reply to my query about compatibility when he did show up so there's not a whole lot I can do

If you crack open Xtardew's content.json and add "Priority": "Low", to all of its Load actions for its clones of the bachelorettes, that *might* be enough to get my compatibility patch to start working? All the ones loading things like Portraits/Emily· and Portraits/Emily·· with the funky dots
