Kinky World then. Sims 3 is a better base and more feature rich even without mods. I remember KW being relatively detailed with its interactions too, more than the glorified animation player that WW is. 4 is easier and has a lot of mod support but it still relies heavily on your imagination and personal effort to make things interesting, whereas 3 actually tries a bit more to play off your actions.

I mean it never was. But it definitely needs most work out of all the Sims games to get it to work. The FPS issue can be solved with a cap. The game being too dark can be solved with borderless windowed gaming app (it's only too dark if you play fullscreen)

Other than that Sims 3 worked for me fine with a real installation from Ea App. The only thing not working for me with Sims 3 is the fucking store content.

Like here's my experiences getting all the Sims games working on my modern PC. For Sims 1 and 2 I used discs and Sims 3 and 4 EA app version. I installed them before the legacy editions.
>Sims 1
Find a NO CD exe since Safedisc isn't supported on Win 10 or newer. Game works but the resolution is stretched. Change Nvidia control panel settings or get the game working in windowed mode with few tricks.

My older modern PC (FX 6300 and GTX 1650) was able to get working right away from discs. I only go to go to one game file and input my monitor resolution (otherwise 800x600 is only res available) and then lower shadows from high to medium since high shadows is broken. However when I got my newer PC (i5 12400f and 3080) I needed to install the 4gb patch and use the Graphics Rule Maker to add my GPU. Otherwise every texture was purple and black.

Needed to cap the FPS, needed to install borderless windowed gaming and turn that on every time before I started the game and I never got the store content to work

Think i am going to ask for an impossible. Does anyone know about this modern villa / mansion? It had a green house on the left with base floor where to plant plants naturally and the first floor had bees, rest of the house surrounded by a wall of hedges, a pool on the right, on the left corner a kid's playground and further a rocket you had to build. Dirst floor was kitchen, living room, dancefloor. In imperial Rome, both men and women were known to wear wrapped loin-cloths and breast-cloth, probably made from linen, under their outer garments. We don't really have proofs people kept wearing them into the medieval era.

Blowtorched worlds, overriding mods, TOOL mod to add more medieval looking constructs when possible etc, etc. It's very time consuming and can get pretty frustrating. I didn't really do much for Windenburg as there's an "old" mod that does all of that stuff, so that was a nice change of pace.
