We have a full blown backstory with Kondo: we see him changing over the event, even the wank he gets with the god upgrade makes sense because it was explored in the event. Gensai can cut gods because she can, no explanation given. Gensai helps Guda because she "knows him" from another world, maybe, and we're not even show a single flashback of this meeting. It's very shallow. And her own interaction with other Guda Guda cast is also not as involved. Danjo would have been a better other SSR. She actually feels connected to the Guda Guda cast in history when she talks to Nobu of kings, and in the event, with her relationship with Kondo and Heisuke.
