Finally have some time to play Master Duel after getting back home from work. And starting from my first duel of the day, I just lost 7 fucking coin flips, in a row.
Also guess what my opponent's were all playing?
And when I do win one, the opponent presses ALT+F4.
I just want to do my dailies man and go to sleep.
I'm this close to dropping this game because I only actually have time to play on weekends but I need to do this shit every 3 days and it ALWAYS takes forever for different reasons, doesn't matter if I'm playing a suicide deck or a meta one. It simply consumes too much time for things that shouldn't take that long, and doesn't allows me to actively play only when I have time (weekends) because gems.

Im using mitsurugi with springans. Mitsurugi by itself is silly with how it can go full combo with a single card and is so idiot proof that it can pull wins even if you make a bunch of mistakes playing it...but I guess mixing it with the midness of springans balances it out into a mostly fair deck

They new player guide in the OP goes over some basic gem spending tips. There's not a ton to say on the subject other than URs are largely all that matters in the long run so try to maximize the odds that you pull URs you need by pulling from packs that have lots of different URs you want.
A good rule of thumb for selection packs is that if it has 4 different URs you want in it then definitely spend gems on it. If it has 3 maybe spend gems. If it has 2 then you should probably craft the rest unless you have a bunch of gems and few UR CP.
Also the bundles that come with a specific UR are good deals.

Since it sounds like you're familiar with modern Yugioh then yeah, Mitsu makes the most sense assuming you actually like the sound of playing that deck.

Vaalmonica doesn't even usually run the link 2. Zebufera is a better boss monster. I don't know much about modern DRulers, but I'd be surprised if it's better than Purrely.
Raidraptors has a structure deck now though so it's super cheap. You get the whole archetype with 1k gems+60 UR points so it's worth it if you're at all interested.

Ladder is not going to be 50% Mitsurugi. Regardless, you should get a deck that's at least pretty good and is one you actually want to play. Ideally you'd open a pack that has two decks in it you want to make, so it's cheaper to make your second deck. like Mitsu+Orcust or Magistus+Regenesis/Gem-Knight.

Yes and yes. If for some reason you ever play dragon rulers you can just get the UR xyz in the dragon ruler secret pack when pulling for the UR main deck monsters. Only 1 of the ancient fairy dragon is needed in blue-eyes.

You only need the Ryzeal xyzs, King, Masquerade (if you play 7th Tachyon) and Starliege. Dugares, and Utopic ray lancer are important for OTK if your Mitsu cards can't do their job. it's a rank 4 get out of jail free card, having the ability to just nuke a board whenever you need to is pretty nice utility and for a lot of decks, they may not be able to recover if they already set up a board first
