To be fair the method of the madness was just accelerating to see tier 4s and 5s sooner to just make the gameplay actually have some aspect of rewarding when you get the better stat allotment. I jumped in late and only started this new year the first week of solstice so I grinded just to take advantage of the higher tier dropping lower than normal solstice armor and legit that had things actually feel good because I could sort builds without half assing it or waiting for much later levels.

All Bungie had to do was move onto Destiny 2: Next gen version the moment the PS5/Series consoles dropped and leave the PS4/Xbone versions untouched. Honestly, Cross is right. Destiny Classic would absolutely slap. It doesn't have to be difficult to make either. Remake D1 year 3 and then update the game from there. I am not sure how far they would go, but imagine D1 with light 3.0 subclasses. It would probably take like 2-3 years to develop, but it would absolutely be worth it.

I have always heard Destiny lore was cool, and the few bits I tune into seem cool, but I also reject watching Blyf because not only does his presentation annoy me but also it rubs me the wrong way that everyone Bungie included has openly but silently agreed he is the only way to experience the narrative+lore of the game due to the DCV.

I'm also confused by what parts of the lore are actually good, because the way some people talk about it there seems to have been a change in-lore by changing writers, much like back with Halo. It's also extremely clear the witness was never planned among other things, and the black fleet were meant to not be empty.

Basically, what is the good lore stuff, what caused the bad lore stuff?
