Yeah but Lucemon also represents both light and dark and even wields both energies for one of his attacks. That's part of what's supposed to make him so powerful. Besides, a goddess doesn't need to be only one of light. Being a goddess of Light and Dark would work spectacularly. Just gotta get the design right and the mixing of the blue and pink would be a good representation of both evolution and full unification. Silvery-white also leans into gray territory, combining elements of white and black, which also fits the theming of an ascended being who wields light and dark.

Even with the EXP dungeon it's an absolute slog to get blue stats on any digimon. Am I missing something?
I'm not using any training items because it's a hassle to go from store to store to Zudomon to create training items. Is there a more convenient way to craft them? I was hoping the in-between theater would offer this as a service.

For anyone playing Mega+, have you encountered any SP issues with no items and tanky opponents? Do you have the healer skill that also gives SP to solve it?

what Digimon really surprised you in TS? I went into Kuzuhamon to fill out the field guide planning to change her out later but she performed extremely well. Removing debuffs from herself is very often relevant late and after a reversal, her 90 power, 25% crit dark attack on data becomes a 3x/4x attack against most end game enemies. I just carried on with her instead of switching out to Sakuyamon.

I don't think the focus on Japanese myths is all that hard to market to other regions, especially given that the designs and general aesthetic only dip into hard Japanese every so often.
I put the blame entirely on poor marketing in general, focusing on making it look EXTREMELY childish and usually high-lighting the low-brow yo-kai. Very poor localization speed cut a lot of momentum as well, and I believe their focus on the toy market also hurt regions outside of Japan as well.

All around I'd say it's a fault of general poor handling rather than just 'too japanese for america'

It's easy to forget since power levels go fucking wild at ultimate but most ultimate Digimon aren't actually that impressive. Like, Machinedramon is on the upper half and has been a benchmark in the franchise for ages but he's functionally a heavy tank. There's no real reason humans couldn't restrain Digimon with enough fire power.

The caveat of it causing massive amounts of collateral damage makes sense though. It wouldn't ever be clean. And of course it'd be total nonsense to try and get something on the tier of Proximamon in line.
