The contract system is so stupidly convoluted. There's no reason why a contract can't just automatically activate when you join a map, and then automatically change when you join another map. I brought this up in a previous thread but it's one of the worst contracts by far.
It wasn't designed around truces. Before truces, you would keep fighting the other team and the chaos usually meant Merasmus wasn't defeated. When Merasmus ISN'T defeated, he doesn't come back as quickly.
With the truce added, no one can do anything else except either fight Merasmus or AFK. And if you kill him, he comes back quicker. Every time he comes back, he resets the point.

if it was just "kill for points" then sure, alright. that'd be fun.
but no its the fact that you explicitly have to hold onto the points for a minute without dying AND THEN bank your score (while also not dying there)

the scout punk set is the longer end of the stick in comparison to every other faggot looking punk sets but its still darn ugly and i will not be using it any time soon.
soldier beard is a repeat of lord cockswain's, at least it actually looks like something you'd see in the game.
pyro set is hard to use with anything cause that misc looks horrendous and the mask clips like shit (just like every concurrent mask item does)
demo plates suck, broad idea of what the game's (lack of) style is.
meximutt heavy is nonsense, the bandolier is the only outlier there.
engineer welder set should have stayed on the pyro, don't mind the blowtorch but this set has the same issues as the last one from SF '24

everything about it really feels like it was made to tick you off.

Hassle castle did it for me. I swear the second point it impossible for offense if the defending team just spams spells. I think that's the problem I have with most of the later Halloween reskins, they place way too many spell spawns on the maps.

He has no problem with references if they don't feel out of place and fit the character. The Trophy Belt is a good example. This set in particular is probably pushing it but I don't think cosmetics referencing a mad scientist character are too out of place for the Medic. Compare that to the Star Wars set which has basically nothing to do with him.
