There are mechanics in almost every fight that require you to have seen them and fail them to understand how they work and I really dislike this style of gameplay.

The problem I have is with how the gameplay is presented and played; I dislike the need to lose to something in order to beat it.
At lot of these issues were solved in normal/story content when SE did the markers and indicators overhaul some years back, but there's still markers and indicators in the game that aren't standardized and attacks and mechanics that are not apparent.
I realize that everything being solvable at a glance is not realistic, but that's also why I said they could just do this but give us an excuse narratively, yet they didn't.
Execution and teamwork should be indicators of difficulty, not hiding pieces of information from the player until it's too late
