A Shambala Story game could be difficult to realize.
Unlike Iliad which has a nearly identical roster to the original digital world plus the Olympos XIII and the Titans.
Shambala already has 8 guardian megas from its vpets that must be included, as well as various other digimons from New Century including the 4 Perils. Moreover, if they try to tackle Susanoomon's origin then they need to include the Ten Legendary Warriors, maybe even their Ancient Variants who aren't based on asian myths whatsoever. And last but not least, the Journey to the West digimons will have to make it as well.
Writing a coherent story around all of them is nearly impossible.

Crits only do 1.3x by default so attachments probably won't be a big deal even if the buff is very solid. The real question here is how much power this adds to Digimon with crit on their personal skills. Digimon like Kuzuhamon and Darkdramon might be able to hit 100% now with their 25%. BeelStarmon is kind of interesting since she's a mixed attacker but you might be able to stack enough crit that the tax doesn't hurt.

They're different kinds of games. Raising Sims, more in line with the Vpets or Monster Rancher.
They're grindy by design, and your partner Digimon will eventually die, having you start from a baby to grind them back up again, faster than the last time.

They're inherently niche and not for everyone, hence why they do worse and the general dreading that they'll stop getting made in favor of the Story games' more conventional and popular JRPG format.

Cyber Sleuth/Hacker's Memory is basically the predecessor of TS. Same general gameplay, but you'll have a lot less QoL that's in TS.
For the World-Style games, World 1 is generally considered the best thanks to it's vibes. However it's extremely obtuse and you're gonna have the best time with it if you use a guide. De:Coded is well-liked too and doesn't have the guide issues World 1 has. And while I like Next 0rder myself, can't deny that it's the worst of them on an objective level.
World 3, despite it's name, isn't a 'World Style' game. Early janky naming conventions and all. It's also more like a JRPG like the Story games, but it's different. Has an issue with grindiness and backtracking and not the most recommended game in the series, but it has it's fans.
And if you're open to fan games, Digital Tamers 2 is genuinely a really solid one that mimics the Vpets even more than the World games do. It's nothing crazy, but it's a decent way to pass the time, and you can play it for free.

the world series is fun in its own way. it starts out rough, but once you get your bearings, you realize that pet care is minimal: feed like twice a day, shit once or twice a day (you have porta-potties available), give them bandages/medicine if they get hurt/sick, put them to bed when they're sleepy
>basically you set out to build or rebuild a city by recruiting digimon (usually after doing something for them). as more facilities open, the game gets easier

They are broken. They last until your next turn and can counter multiple times in a single round, and activate off anything. Some bosses do have both phy/mag but a lot of bosses seem to be physical only, and then they cannot kill you at all as long as you spam counters. Having counter sub skill is a great option to have, I think all the signature ones are physical counters, I haven't seen a signature magic counter yet.

It's hilarious watching a boss spam a physical AOE 3-4 times in a row and it procs the counter 3-4 times. You can even use a counter on the Boss charge up skills if you know it's the correct atk type, and take 0 damage which is even better than guarding. The only thing I've seen that can cancel a counter is Crystalisation debuff but only a few things in the game can do that, maybe sleep can also stop it but I don't know

I think its less "We change the timeline and the old one is gone" and more "We change the issue that would end this timeline, so it fixes itself, and goes on as planned", especially since they are locked in an eight year long time loop. There is no Hiroko getting deleted, she just gets different memories and lives a bit longer. But, since Chronomon holds all the strings, being time itself, he always adapts things so that the robot is launched and either gets blown up by Jupitermon Wrath mode, or just kills Inori driving goat boy into further insanity, so that eventually he can reach and kill him.

In time related stories, that's always considered the same as nearly killing people. It's like making a clone and replacing the original. That other version of Hiroko had memories, feelings, dreams, but they're all gone now. The Cyber Sleuth ending at least gave off the bittersweet feeling when the MC was the only one to remember it all, but still ran into his boss at the end. She doesn't know who he is, so it's bittersweet.

I still say Hiroko should have been a main character here. Inori is plain bread and literally doesn't do anything to the story. She's just a tag along and justification for Aigiomon doing what he does. I'm aware of that. Though it was always weird how they explained the whole disguise stuff. Crusadermon straight up began developing the traits of Rei Kishibi and it was causing her to go haywire as a result. Alphamon had a taste for coffee and what not. The way they treated it always came off as if they straight up downloaded their looks and personalities onto their mon selves and that's why they essentially became those people. The real weird thing is Rei and Kyoko went missing since then, which kind of left me feeling like there was more to it than just that.

CS ending is as you said, after Kyoko (herself not alphamon blend) runs into mc again she invites them as assistant. Nokia and Co go on their own team shenanigans showing that they remember things. Yes, you can max out everyone to having 9999 of each stat. They also removed unique passives from the CS series, so nobody gets outright shitted on just because they have a bad passive. The only thing you can't change is their unique skill attacks, and general resistances (you can give them items that change those). The one thing I find annoying is Digimon only being able to hold 4 optional skills, compared to Cyber Sleuth's 4-5. In Cyber Sleuth if your Digimon had only one unique skill, then you could use the 5th slot for any one of your choosing. In this game, even if you're Digimon doesn't have two unique skills, you can't use the empty 5th slot. I hope a modder finds some way to expand skills to 6 or something.
