Am I crazy or have there been next to no changes to the season besides Atakhan and feats at the start of the year? Map skins were nice, but they were just visual flavor and it seems they're already walking back on them, we didn't really get any new items, no champion roadmap, no cool events to look forward to - we had the in-client minigames, but they were really just flavor as well and lots of people probably didn't even give them a chance and more, but, like, what really changed to SR this season beyond Atakhan and feats and that was nearly a year ago? Not that anon but it's a different argument for jungle. Jungle is much, much more difficult and stressing than playing ADC, because it's heavily reliant on macro and jungle having the highest agency (both positive and negative) in the game. It's a role that discourages players who want to learn it, and it's only good if the player is good IN that role. You have less team-dependency in jungle but the team has more team-dependency on the jungler.
ADC is entirely dependent on the team and if you are not snowballing, you are pretty much useless or have minor impact. Besides, botlane is close to drakes, and knowing the snowballing value ADCs have, you are more likely to get camped by the enemy jungler/midlaner. Now add on top of this that more players are slowly giving up on ADCs, playing double mage both or other stuff.

Vayne is better off in another lane and she is one of the very few ADCs who can actually deal with tanks; Jinx is just broken so if you give her a few kills she'll flip the game on her own; Ashe is for marksman purists so she depends a lot more on how items work (I play plenty of Ashe if I'm ADC and I don't think she needed that buff); I haven't seen Draven or KogMaw in forever actually your post makes me remember they exist.

I will die on the hill that the Riot data API killed the League community.
Now that you can just check a website to see the best build, all the best counterpicks, most meta champs etc people don't need to actually talk to each other or make content about the game.
Without the data API champ main communities would be way stronger and make their own league related content like memes and guides. Having people talking about the game and posting memes on sites like reddit and twitter get other people interested in the game for the actual gameplay and content gets pushed in video algorithms more.
Places like /lolg/ rarely talk in depth about the game anymore because its basically solved by the API.
The game itself would also be way healther as people wouldn't all run the most meta champs or builds because noone would know what is actually objectively strong.

I don't think there is anything wrong with playing in a way that is comfortable to you, but still as long as you can play with it. Like, I like something on-hit with Ashe a lot more than a crit build, and yes I absolutely know how her passive works, but I prefer the flexibility and better recipes of building other items. Crit builds are expensive, worse they are linear and boring. This is just an example, I could say the same with other champs and roles.
The main argument is that I think all this streamlining and API data makes players reluctant to try anything different, and on a game like LoL feels like a shame with how much fun it could be if we had variety. Variety is exactly what we don't have.

My friend showed me he set up a bot on one pc and set up League on another pc and the AI watches whats happening on the screen through a camera and physically presses the buttons and physically moves araund the mouse and its completely undetectable because theres no software for Vanguard to detect on the League pc all the scripting is done on another device and all the imputs are done by physically pressing down on the keys just like a human would.
We watched the AI play the game for him and it was so cool.
