It's the old school MMO experience, which is all about grinding for mobs. Grouping up doesn't helps much if people have a huge disparity in your levels.

You can spawn NMs (Notorious Monsters) by killing specific mobs that spawn them, they also sometimes got unique drops.

And yes your chain ends at 30, because otherwise it would infinitely scale.

use elemental buff if you find one
grab a kirin chestpiece (or damascene cloth for casters) from the mb because its bis, even better than elemental chestpiece
farm mobs 1-2 lvls higher than yourself to be optimal
once you hit lvl35 and go to pyros you can use bozja actions to make levelling smoother (i'd reccomend Wisdom of the Martialist + Bloodbath on WAR, you unlock the second action slot at 38 iirc)
if you have empty instance and a friend who hates himself you can do some cheese with spawning fates and abusing the levelsync button right before mobs die to get full XP even tho theres a max level guy in your party

Don't plap lalas unless you want to be known only for that. When you get started have some presence in other threads like the /aco/ thread, find the top posters and try to befriend them. Play a dark skinned character for maximum access, biofems and trannies go crazy for them. Pick miera or malera as your race.
