I've been trying the Pacifier out, I like the look of it, but I don't like using it. The stun feels like a pretty useless gimmick especially considering that most enemies just die before the stun even happens, and on larger enemies it takes too long to apply the stun regardless.

Back when Joel wanted to make Tranny Park 2, the MO was to kill chargers. Not every charger counted though, only the base ones on D6. As the MO was nearing its deadline, Narrowhead realized the bugchasers are too inept at the game and started jacking up the spawn rate of chargers to compensate.
When the MO hit its deadline, the charger kill count was only at 95% then it miraculously jumped to complete out of nowhere. Joel unironically gave bugchasers a win because he took pity on them.

It's kinda weak on solo play, sometimes voteless don't give you any breathing room to reload, you only get two spare mags and fleshmobs can tank half a mag (I think? I'm not sure about it, could be more), Elevated Overseers can be a pain to fight with its shit ergonomics and you can only defang levis with it (85% durable on turrets btw).

I'm still using it on squids tho, it's a fun gun.

I found that AC has stronger chaff clearing abilities, is as good and arguably better against durable medium enemies like bile spewers, stalkers, heavy devs, and can demolish bases+objectives much quicker, from much further away too. As for alternatives to pair with backpacks I much prefer quasar, railgun, spear gun. I'd call GL powercrept but it always was a bit weak. There's just too much other good stuff.

GL is s-tier on bugs because you can be so mobile with it and you're not tied down to using a dedicated bp with it. It's still good on squids, but the AC outclasses it there.
