Epoch devs got hit with a C&D and dipped, leaving Ascension holding the bag while they were in the middle of getting Bronzebeard set up. Ascension basically puts Epoch on the backburner while they're doing their final stress tests for BBC+ and are focusing on that right now. Dutch says there's no timetable for a roadmap, Ony and MC have still not released. Server is basically in hibernation right now.

Ideally the changes they made to the server with adding TBC spells and adding new item/gear sets would have spiced things up. Of course it did not turn out that way because they never released the raids and they made the PVP gear too powerful and easy to get.
At least the levelling dungeon bosses got slightly more challenging mechanics so that was fun to experience except for thermaplugg, what a retard move to remove the bomb spawning mechanic.

Should have few pvp pieces that repeat in each bracket (like a weapon or wrist that can be purchased for marks, dunno if that was a thing in classic or I saw it on another server, this shit gets mixed and confusing after a while) - so you can get some nice rewards that help you while leveling, but it should be restricted to 2-3 gear pieces each from AB/WSG & AV, all of which should be released from the start.

But that gear sure as fuck shouldn't be a full set, upgradable, or so broken that it nullifies dungeon/quest gear and forces everyone on Guru to afk grind WSG in order to have a chance at leveling.

Then at lvl 60 you should have an actual PVP set that requires both marks and honor for each piece, preferably different marks for different pieces to bring variety in PVP.

The server failed because it had little to no Classic+ content and it was competing against Turtle and Bronzebeard which had plenty.

Yeah a lot of the custom quests, including the long ass quest chains that require elite kills and a dungeon give shit loot, fit for a king is a joke and BH rewards got nerfed. I GUESS this is okay because it fits in with Vanilla but the PVP gear was a contradiction to this.

I like the idea of only 2-3 pieces per bracket so you don't get a full set until 55 or 60 because once i got my full set at 29 i rarely changed any pieces from quests or even dungeons. Tho it was fun for me dunking on people in STV who didn't have PVP gear, i don't think i lost a single duel on my feral druid unless it was like a 4-5 level difference. But it was shit for people who wanted to do Wpvp but didn't want to do the WSG grind. Despite all the talk of Epoch being a great PVP server compared to Turtle, the PVP is only playable if you had the WSG set and didn't play a class with bugged talents. (Except Shaman bugs making them do 50% more damage)
