Good players are not gonna step into a tower without clearing it first with AoE nukes if Frieza is on the enemy team. Zarbon and Dodoria mean absolutely nothing to SS3 Goku and he's in every other game at high rank.

It's also not made for DBZ fans who just watch this show for the fights. Outside of E8, Daima has no engaging fight scenes like that. They’ve all just been on-model with middling to slightly above average choreography. Not to mention Daima has one of the lamest final battles I've ever seen. SSJ4 is one of the most pointless transformations that accomplishes nothing at the end of the day because Gomah loses to Kuu in Mario style. Toriyama also somehow made SSJ4's worse, design wise and plot wise. GT had the decency to build it up so it would pay off later and SSJ4 actually won a lot of fighfs. It's not made for GT fans either.

The Demon Realm also isn’t interesting at all. 3 was just a desert with a couple of villages, the only thing 2 had was a giant and a really annoying kraken and 1 is literally a castle and that’s it. The game just feels incredibly reigned in still, even after a year, and the lack of crossplay for the online is killing me as a fag on PC, its like I play five guys and then thats it, never matches me with them again or anyone else, as if I have limited tries to play the online before I have to come back later. SP Modes are still scarce and legendary warrior battles just aren't interesting, 1v1s even with the Universal DP in place still end abit too quickly. Got to A4 as a DPS, and I got to A4 as a technical a few days ago. Now there's only a tank left (B3). If I play particularly well/get good teammates I can get tank to A4 today too, but even if not, I'll probably get it before the season is over so I can get that Tao Pai Pai helper.

Felt like I was cheating by using Goku to get from B1 to A4, but eh, I was mostly using Uub the last days, and I got to B1 as Uub mostly to begin with (Not saying Uub is weak, but not as braindead as Goku).

Steel skin is just a tiny flat damage reduction on every hit. I don't remember the actual number but let's say it makes each attack deal 15 less damage. You could make an argument that reducing 15 damage of every rush attack tick (for example) can end up amounting to something decent. But then if you get hit by a spirit bomb it also reduces the damage only by 15 and that’s basically nothing.
As the game goes on you get into rush attack battles less often and skill nukes abound. So steel skin is almost never worth it.

Supposedly the damage reduction lasts for 1-2 seconds or something but it quickly diminishes over time, so at best you are only getting the full reduction for one hit

For the last card, you should either run Limit Breaking Jump (For double vanishes) or Backstab (To make your Kamehameha have less CD).

Technically Pursuer would be a good choice for a third card (Kamehameha into Meteor Hammer does ridiculous damage), but Backstab allows you to stay away from some characters, and have less CD in your kamehameha, so you can use it again soon after.

DPS overall are better with Snowball, though Build up is still a decent choice, specially if you're starting with the character.

You should run Solid Barrier as the second card though, few characters are better off not using it (The guy in >>542356108's video suggests using an offensive card with Vegeta, and after messing around with it, it does feel like a decent pick).

Speaking of Vegeta, what are the best ways to upgrade Vegeta? Lately I'm upgrading skill 1 first to kill the first mooks faster, prioritize skill 2,upgrade his ult on occasion and neglect skill 3... But I get the feeling I should instead neglect his ult to prioritize his skill 3...

I think everyone is skeptical of solid barrier at first until they pick it, eat a kamehameha from a Tardku and realize that instead of dying they have only lost 20% of their health, and suddenly they understand.
