It was removed for this beta since the devs want to get a feel for what the game's balance (mechanics, gunplay, class interaction and effect on offense and defense) will be between 32 randos who don't know each other and how the game's current mechanics encourage or discourage teamwork (there are still unused parts like class field perks)

Having coordinated squads would tear apart unorganized randos, and the questkiddies would always team switch to the winning team.

That being said, getting a full /vrg/ squad coordinated results in the closest home point being taken and held against infantry, armor, and paratroopers alike with just 4 people respawning on each other and a recon beacon

No. They are a huge hassle because you no longer have hands, but a permanent generic gun that doesn't even match the shape of some of the rifles anyway, so doing ANYTHING in game but firing no longer works properly. Go grab a booth base, slap it into Unity, retexture the eyes, grab a hair and outfit already fit to your base, and then you're good to go. As you get more comfortable with the tools and use your avatar more, you'll eventually find yourself wanting to learn the more intricate stuff to customize further, but as a base to start with, people are niggers for telling you to start with Blender.

yes, but keep in mind your VRC account needs to have a certain number of hours logged before you can upload avatars. Public worlds and having friends will accelerate the process.

You can be a desktopper with no VR headset on VR Chat to start socializing and build up your account status. There are even apps that can use your cell phone camera to add some motion tracking without a VR headset, so that for others it won't be like talking to a piece of furniture.

the number of times a person's avatar breaks when I work on it without realizing their export was set to All Local instead of FBX All or FBX Unit Scale, and I have to go fix the scaling being off by 100 and all the downstream effects of it is too many.

Assuming you specifically mean "watching videos in vrchat, with other people" specifically:

1. If it's not already, encode your video as an h264 video with aac audio as an mkv file with handbrake. mp4 container will also work with "web optimized" checked but mkv is slightly more reliable. I think the "Creator 1080p60" preset that comes with handbrake is fine. Also bake the subtitles if you want those.
2. choose one of (sorted by how much convenience/retard tax you have to pay, high to low):
a. d*scord nitro (~500mb limit but retard-friendly)
b. bunnycdn (relatively expensive storage/egress but retard-friendly)
c. raw backblaze b2 (cheaper egress and free storage)
d. google cloud storage (eventually expensive but free tier will cover you for a while)
e. buy a cheap domain from any registrar, set up cloudflare, register backblaze b2 bucket as subdomain (unlimited egress for just the price of the domain)
f. oracle cloud, make free vps, ssh in and set up basic web server (generous free tier storage/bandwidth limits but you have to do it all yourself)
3. upload your video file onto chosen service
4. copy public http link from whatever service into video player.

Sometimes you can even get away with uploading the video to litterbox, but it's unreliable.

If you just want to watch by yourself, skip steps 2 and 3 and instead install caddy locally, set it up in file-server mode, and copy the localhost link into a vrchat player. If you don't care about vrchat and just want a comfy VR environment, use bigscreen beta.

you are correct, but the vast majority of mtg players are casual players who play to have fun. I personally abandoned mtg over a decade ago after witnessing and being the victim of too many incidents of theft.

I will admit, the game is better off staying unrealistic without a mag release button. It slows the reloads just enough to make swapping to your pistol an attractive option and it didn't require the unsatisfyingly arbitrary timer that Breachers uses.

As others have said the avatars relative proportions matter the most as changing total scale is trivially easy in both Unity and in game with the quick menu slider. The in game method works so well you can not even both changing it in Unity.

However changing proportions requires Blender editing and a decent amount of trial and error. If you don't have FBT I wouldn't worry about it, but if you do scaling down the crazy long legs all anime models have is something a few people do to make them match better

I think vrchat's build process and ndmf runs entirely in editor these days, i.e. not play mode. I think including any platform should be safe either way. You could also try moving your plugin script into Assets/Editor temporarily (if they're in a package) just to see if still works in the default asmdef.

yes, thats not my clip, that's a clip from the PSVR2 version (which is why the guns have no recoil, they added that in some patch and ofcourse its present on the pc version)

but yes i am halfway through hitman 3 right now on my playthrough and the best i ever got was 3 stars for a mission. most of my adventures end up with me getting spotted near the very end of the mission and i have to blast my way out to the exit. it kinda makes it cinematic that way.

if you have a bitchin rig you can upscale to like 2.5x and the blurry weirdness is gone by that point.
and to fix the outer edges being broken you set atmospheric clouds or some shit like that to low.
