He's the only, and by extension the best, echo damage buffer in the game. So you're banking on that archetype being expanded in the future.

He's also the best third slot in a Frog-Canty team. He's an EXTREMELY minor upgrade over Rococo, but if you skipped her and don't plan on getting her, Qiuyuan is a good pickup for that team.

I forgot to mention this earlier, but Chisa is a healer-DPS hybrid.

At unlock (S0), she is a healer. From S1 to S5, she is a sub-DPS. At max constellation (S6), she becomes a main DPS.

She is presumably a Havoc-aligned character. Her mechanics involve stacking effect layers, which can increase the damage dealt by all effects for the entire team (specifically Spectro Frazzle, Aero Erosion, and Havoc Bane damage). Conversely, the effect stacks present on the team also increase Chisa's own personal damage output.

She is a universal support for Effect teams and an exceptionally powerful 3rd slot character due to her strong kit.

After some time to digest, I think I've narrowed down the 2 big reasons why 2.7's story didn't really jive with me,
Too much yapping and rover had zero initiative.
The rover thing especially rubbed me the wrong way. A brand new character just shows up and tells rover what to do the entire time. The plan? Sorry, can't tell you. Just trust me bro. Fell for a trap? Don't worry, I'll save you. Fell for another trap? All good, I'll bail you out. Giving in to chrisoforo's script? Guess who's in your mindscape to talk you out of it. This gal!
I get they don't want rover to be some mary sue that never needs anyone's help ever, but they've done a much better job of it in the past. In the fight against fleur, carty shows up to help, but rover is the one to break the barrier after getting trapped. In 2.4's story, he CHOOSES to trust in lupa and give her the role of protag. In 2.5, he's shown to always have his guard up around phrolova instead of just blindly trusting her. Then 2.7 drops and rover doesn't do anything of his own accord, doesn't get himself out of any jams on his own, or 2nd guess the new girl that's using dark tide energy.

For me, it’s the complete lack of buildup leading to the finale. We went from an episodic harem anime to suddenly having all the love interests from previous episodes show up and have to work together to save the world.
And they never even bother to address the obvious tension between all these girls who clearly like Rover. We’re just expected to believe they’d all get along perfectly, no jealousy, no snide remarks, no awkward moments. It’s like the writers forgot human emotion exists. That was a serious writing blunder.

The question was never about replacing Canty, that's madness. Canty stays. Rococo doesn't really do much in the team though. Her damage is barely higher than Qiuyuan's even with Frog perfectly buffing her, so since he can juice Frog's damage more (has more echo casts to trigger hecate attacks, plus all the echo dmg boosts I mentioned), he's just as good if not slightly better than Rococo, despite not interacting perfectly with the team buffs.

Just finished the story and i can see why some people are pissed off with Galby.

She comes out of nowhere, tells every other characters what to do, solo the Grand Architect, and stands side by side with Rover to deliver the final blow to the Leviathan.

I think people would be more accepting if she was a recurring character that appears early in Rinascita.

Augusta and Galbrena were childhood friends. She went away because she's being chased by demons after defeating all those demons and absorbing their power. Back in Augusta's patch 2 months ago i instantly knew who this character was because they teased Galbrena before Phrolova was even out. People just don't read or remember previous patches, it's 30 day goldfish memory.
