If there's anything this season has proven it's that no, just because the id is new and shiny doesnt mean it's going to be better or replace anything. Molar is still the better pick for burst turns, W Sang is still the better pick for rupture count,Talisclair is still the better pick for a benchwarmer, etc.
Another thing is that PM has learned all the wrong lessons. 7 Section 1 Faust will have ten passives and 5 unique statuses to inflict 2 rupture count. Sometimes. Because Maost just inflicts 5 count for being faster than the target and that's too strong so they'll never do it again. All this does is just confirm her place at the top. Look at how T Outis has all those conditionals and needs borrowed time to burst tremor 3 times like Molar Outis does, or the arkshits ego vs fluid sac, or how Roosterclair doesnt have any deathriteor how ShiFaust has to waste a turn doing nothing to use a gimped version of her S3-2

I'd say no. He's very unreliable in content outside of MD if he stays transformed long enough, even trying to clash his S2 inherently lowers his SP by 5 even before the clash, and his thumb ID helps Meursault, which by itself is way better than using Dawn Sinclair.
He isn't the worst, but he's annoying since even when he finally transforms, he eats his own SP to do so, so he needs to gamble a bit to clash and deal proper damage, unless the first skill you're using upon transforming is his S3 (assuming you can clash something he can beat at tails roll).
He also sucks for slash exp, since most enemies can be using counters, or by the time he transforms, the fight is already pretty much over.

If you want to supercharge your bow to deal maximum damage you need to use your defensive skill 4 turns in a row and the damage can be compared to a single silver bullet from Full Stop Heath (that he can immediately spend whenever). She can't sustain her own Poise generation unless you use Thoracalgia. If you want to play her bow gameplay you're screwed because guarding for 4 turns in a row you won't get you any SP (it's a regular Guard), and the upgraded Skill 3 can't clash either, so no SP. Her bleed is fine, but there are amazing bleed units in the game already, so adding her in is a matter of opportunity cost.

To make matters worse, if your Target Aim (the stack you need for your big shot) is at max but you don't have any Skill 3 available to use, you can use your Guard yet again and it'll automatically convert into an enhanced Skill 3 for you to shoot. But there's this stupid interaction where if the Skill 3 is ON THE DASHBOARD (the uppermost skill you can see but not select) the guard will NOT convert to S3, forcing you to waste another turn. At the end of the day, with enough EGO gifts in MD you can run pretty much anything, but if you plan to play her in Railway etc, she feels pretty bad.

season 1 IDs were designed for bosses that had 1k hp at most
