I think Alias Conrad Coldwood made a good call not letting them use his soundtrack in the OFF remake, seeing how Undertale soundtrack videos that have been up for literally 10 years are suddenly getting copyright struck by Materia Music. One of the things he specifically said is that he didn't have any problem letting people upload the music but he was worried that the company he signed the rights away to would and suddenly he'd be getting angry emails asking why the fuck videos are getting taken down. And I see now that is exactly what would have happened.
Plus I think the new soundtrack is really good and of all things you can change about a game, the soundtrack is one of the easiest things to fix with a mod, so now I get two entire soundtracks I can listen to whenever I want. It's great.
I do wish ACC would do the soundtrack to another game someday though.

toby places an extreme importance on smiles in UT/DR, and if you look closely you can see that he made almost all of the smiles unique and recognizeable, an aspect of their character.
the most obvious exception to this rule is the dreemur family who all share very similar smiles, and this is for obvious reasons; they are all part of the same family, part of the same species. the same smile.

there are thoughever two other notable exceptions:

1. flowey's evil grin is extremely similar to papyrus' smile, the biggest difference being that flowey's is viewed from the front, but papyrus' is a partial profile. this is notable because flowey regularly immitates other character faces, and papyrus has an established "special friendship" with flowey, flowey having a particular liking for him. maybe there is more to this grin than we know?

If your friends read your cries for help and never sent you emotional support AT ALL then you weren't that close to begin with. Some people are just fairweather friends who you hang out with, but they wouldn't ride or die for you and that's fine, it just means you need to go out and make some real homies.
If they have tried giving you emotional support and are simply tired of your BS then that IS a you problem. You should seek professional help and not dump all your problems on your friends expecting them to solve your problems.

Kris closes the fountain at the end of Chapter 3 without us. They, notably can do a LOT without us there at all, along with hiding their power level since they get special moves and other stuff. Plus plus, chapter 4 confirms that closing fountains isn't what raises your LVL, it's... something else.
That does raise the question of why we're here in the first place, but maybe we're needed for some part of the plan to work at all or closing the fountains comes with the * of "You need the angel to possess you in the first place to gain the ability, good luck fucker."

Have you ever considered this decrease in empathy is a self-preservating response to people who neglect your feelings to assert there own upon you? The mentally ill need to seek support through the correct channels- yes, it's normal to vent to a friend or loved one about certain topics, but when you reduce them to an emotional punching back, you are both harming their mental health and being unappreciated about their own well being.
We have licensed therapists for a reason- people who are trained to have these conversations, and to offer advice. I don't think the knight has made ANY of the dark worlds yet. all of the dark worlds so far barring chapter 1 can be thematically attributed to certain characters and motivations expressed within the story.

chapters 2 and 3 are created by noelle and kris respectively, which is why they share so many common themes regarding december and FRIEND, who are both virtually non-existent in chapters 1 and 4. chapter 2 even has a very on-the-nose plot about queen aka carol wanting to turn noelle into a "new knight" and forcing her to make dark fountains, even giving her a "royal pin" aka a fucking pushpin from the mayor's schizo corkboard.

chapter 4 is clearly tied to alvin despite him not appearing in the chapter, with ralsei all but saying the fountain was created by one of gerson's relatives, with there being a multi-chapter buildup around him digging up gerson's hammer and putting it in his desk drawer. and where did gerson find his shadow crystal? in the desk drawer. alvin was trying to give gerson a shadow crystal so he could finish his story. and when you finally get to the third fountain which is likely created by the knight, it's a schizophrenic mess unlike the first OR second fountains. like all three are by different people.

chapter 5 is already being set up as an asgore creation, with him having the black shard and literally being in the boss portrait for that chapter.

that leaves chapter 1 as the wild card, and that is intentional; even seam is shocked and confused as to how jevil even got a shadow crystal. we aren't supposed to know who created the field of hopes and dreams.
