DD, Spidey, and magik are all heavy combo characters but none of them feel like doom to me. Doom uniquely combined his movement with his damage doing shit with diags, roll outs, bump jumping, etc. Spiderman can do stuff like drive by uppercuts and bunny hopping into overheads. Magik can combine her teleport with her dash to double up on damage and DD can basically do the exact same thing. But none of them feel rewarded the same way a doom did for knowing exactly where and how to use his slam to max damage, to diag a punch into someone on high ground.

Yeah despite everyone trying to tell me otherwise I think they did something to matchmaking this season and its made the game worse. I immediately noticed it yesterday when I queued for several hours and maybe on two occasions got into decent lobbies that didn't just end in steamrolls.
Even today was no better. It's like the games where I'm "supposed" to lose are completely and blatantly rigged now. I'm pretty sure these changes were done to address the queue times and prevent them from being anything but instant so they now have bad players mixing in with relatively good ones.

Seems pretty grim if we're reaching this level because it doesn't even feel this bad in overwatch.

He's level 10 I think? and has a general idea of how the game works and he plays emma, when I play with him I just fill as Jeff and tonight I played a few matches where I didn't play Jeff and he literally couldn't believe how bad it was. Now you're probably thinking "Oh yeah you're just sucking off your friend and prioritizing him" and no I wasn't, I put as much effort into healing him as I did with everyone else because I understand how important it is to just heal in this game and yet even when other players locked in Jeff he felt it immediately and told me its almost unplayable and I laughed because Its true, if you dont get people who heal you as you tank you are so fucked, unless the other team are incompetent enough to not play on this.
