But I've been used as an emotional rag so much that I know how awful it feels, and now it's hard for me to really express my feelings with anyone in person. I just vent anonymously instead. My IRL job is emotionally exhausting and my home life is draining. My childhood was parentified as fuck thanks to having mentally ill parents who wouldn't take their meds. I work in a psychiatric unit and most of our patients are in their 20s and 30s. The source of their self harming isn't even brain chemicals or anything. It's just being aware of the state of the world and how fucked everything is becoming.

I also have a fear of having a child who's retarded. I used to work in education before this, and I worked sped a lot because nobody else would. The number of kids in that department grew each year. I know there's some confirmation bias at work, but we're also polluting the environment and fucking with our livestock that we eat, so who's to say we haven't done something to ourselves that's upping our odds of cranking out a kid who's permanently debuffed and can't actually do anything. You should see some of these families that have a kid who can't walk, can't talk, can't express himself or even show signs that he's there. It's sad as fuck. Their whole lives just turned into 24/7 caregivers. Their only respite is when he's at school for a few hours. There's no joy in their eyes. Secretly, they probably wish that he'd been born different, and then they probably hate themselves for it.

So yeah it's hard for me to want kids. I'm also not in a position financially for it at all, because finding a career has been peak clown world shit ever since I graduated into a fucking recession so yeah. I grew up poor with parents who had me as a mistake, and I wouldn't wish that on my own kid.

Yeah, every job has drift issues, but SAM gets hagakure privilege to correct for it (though it does take some big brain sometimes to do it right). Now granted, I'm biased too because I play SAM and have been fucking around with RPR but don't have a lot of experience. I've been playing it in the DD so, I do realize these issues shouldn't be coming up very often in a raid setting where you do a rote opener and rotation every pull, but still my gripes with RPR so far are
>can forget to death's design or forget to reapply it losing DPS and resources from trash kills
>can forget to charge soulsow
>can lose gibbet/gallows charges because they are a "combo" that gets broken by every other button
>can lose enshroud charges or communio if you lose track of your rhythm in enshroud (e.g. dodging mechanics and don't notice you step out of range for a second and a swing of lemure's doesn't go off)
>Has a very long CD on it's gap closer (5s on SAM, 20s on RPR) so you have to be much more on the ball about using it efficiently or suffer uptime losses
>Can waste Gluttony cooldown time by using enshroud at the wrong time as it's coming back up
>Has to hardcast Harpe for any downtime situation unless it was worth burning your Egress for, in which case you get ONE instant cast of it

Like don't get me wrong, I understand these are all "git gud" babby complaints but I am a babby with reaper, and I just don't think SAM has any failstates or downsides compared to this Job.
