Do you prefer the design philosophy of season 1 or the current season 6 designs?
Season 1 was wacky as fucking and most stuff sucked but most ids and EGO did have unique designs and things were arguably unbalanced in a fun way
Most stuff nowadays is decent at worst but is also quite formulaic. But an id like Mao Faust also has more mechanics and thoughtful gameplay than something like lccb Ishmael

At least N Sang and Ryoshu can hold their own otherwise even with Ryoshu getting the single coin restriction because those guys have zero sense of balance. Nah. The game is somewhat unusual in its mechanics.

Example, do you know why Lei Heng sometimes still hurts a lot even if you win the clash (if you don't debuff him, block with everyone else etc.) even though the skill says it's doing 80% less damage? It's because Lei Heng's modifiers go up to 200% (more or less) so doing 80% less just means he is doing 120% more damage instead of 200%.
In MDE, this is not a thing as he actually has a

clash lose on his AOE. Which means it actually cuts the damage in half, no matter how high his modifiers are.

Paralyze zeroes the values of coins, 1 coin per paralyze. But it is consumed as the coin is rolled. Say you clash against a 3 coin skill, that's 3 paralyzes gone and the guy will still have other skills to use. And it if's a red coin or something like that it can empty out all paralyzes inflicted straight away.
ATK Power down will subtract from the final value after all that for the entire turn. An enemy that is 6+4+4 under 2 ATK Downs will hit a 12 at most even scoring all heads and his subsequent skills all will be under the same nerf. So assuming he will have as many actions as your sinners, that's 7 skills getting reduced.
I don't know how that behaves in different body parts though. I assume Lei Heng suffers from that in particular because as a human opponent he only has a single body part. So he takes the full brunt across all his skills. N Meursault alone will screw his rolls royally. And then N Heathcliff screws the +coins for good measure

Assuming the best case scenario of the next Canto being in December let's say you've got 60 days to grind and you do one MD run per day, 8 of those would be weekly bonus runs which leaves 52 regular runs worth 3 BP levels each for 156, 8 weekly bonuses for 22,5 levels each gets you 180 levels, then another 60 levels from dailies and 16 from weeklies.
You'd be looking at around 412 levels which without a paid pass gets you enough shards for 2 IDs and some change. Buy the pass and you'd be getting 6 of them before season end is plenty for all the good seasonals. Of course this is assuming a December Canto release, which is unlikely, and daily MD runs. If there's a delay you can probably get all seasonal IDs before the next Canto drops.

So I get why there are angels in Blue Archive since they are all incarnations of supernatural being and Stalin, and I get why there are angels in Limbus Company because Abnormalities are born out of concepts and events, but why are there angels in Arknights? Aren't they all people infected with a disease that mutates people?

If you blame Meursault you are the problem with society as described in the book. Why would I make such an outrageous claim for an overt murderer and someone who complies with evil? Because nobody seems to realize what Meursault is trying to express including himself. There are a myriad of gripes I have with the general understanding of Meursault and I wish to cover a few here. Firstly is his apparent “lack of care” for his Maman. Many place the blame of her death on him for putting her in hospice but that just isn’t the case. He made the decision based on her need to commune with others similar to her. Despite how readers claim he is devoid of any empathy this is an act of kindness. He understands that she deserves to interact, befriend, and even romance others just like he does throughout the novel. So, he sends her to the best place for that within his means. Now to the reason he doesn’t cry at the funeral. It seems reader’s memories were wiped towards the end of the book causing them to forget the entirety of its contents. Therefore I must outline and paraphrase a piece I found most interesting regarding his reaction to his Maman’s death. In his final moments he realizes that his mother too found freedom in the pursuit of a fiance. He understood now that just like her despite the nearing demise he too found his freedom. Therefore, “Nobody, Nobody had the right to cry over her”. Her death was not a saddening affair but one where she found freedom in the last moments. To reduce it to a mournful lament is to trample on the celebration of her freedom. For Meursault he holds the belief that because of life being inherently meaningless he skips straight to that part where instead of mourning he believes that she was truly free to the end. While he does not express it in the traditional sense he clearly does show care for her.

The entire book is him finding the enjoyment of life to the very end. From the movies to swimming to spending time with Marie. At every moment he is pursuing what would physically please him in the moment. To the point in literal prison he makes an emphasis on how he isn’t bored because he find enjoyment in the simple act of observing his cell to the minute detail. He always had an appreciation for life through nature. At every step of the way he is constantly observing and admiring the scenery around him. Often describing the beautiful scenic coasts of Algeria. What people often seem to confuse is his Absurdism philosophy as a whole. While life may not have any inherent meaning that does not mean he will not create it. This is final act of freedom as he rebels against the societal labels and stays true to himself despite being executed. Never once did he lie or persuade or even trick his way out of his wrongful demise.

A Blistering Endeavor

Now onto the meat and potatoes of why he killed that man. IT WAS FUCKING HOT. Seriously that is the reason and people seem to diminish it time and time again. If you are unfamiliar with the globe. The story take place in Algiers, Algeria. Which is in North Africa, an extremely hot place. The Sahara Desert (One of the hottest deserts in the world) covers a whopping 90% of Algeria. At every point in the story everyone is complaining about the heat. Thomas faints, the trial is blistering to the point of everyone except Meursault being supplied a fan, and the number one activity being swimming. Now I’m not going to go to in detail with the meteorological aspect of it. But from my simple understanding there is plenty of chance for a scorcher paired with the foehn effect and added humidity to be nauseating. Our protagonist is almost always susceptibly sickened by this heat. Just looking at a rough map of Algeria’s hottest days(see “plantmaps.com”), you are looking at 44-48 degrees celsius on the coast alone. That is around 115 degrees Farenheit! WITH FUCKING HUMIDITY. Now here comes the most overlooked part. The unnamed Arabian man had a knife. And while our sweet Meursault probably shouldn’t have approached the spring. The heat captured his immediate attention and to him the matter was considered over with like most things. As he approaches the man he pulls out a knife. “The scorching blade slashed at my eyelashes and stabbed at my stinging eyes”. This could be taken literally as in the man attacked, but I doubt it should be interpreted it that way. I understand it as the sun reflecting off the blade and quite literally blinding him. And now here is the dilemma, someone who doesn’t like you just pulled a knife and you are blind. It is not a surprise he shot, and even in the trial nobody really cared about the murder to the point of jokes being made inside the courtroom.

Now to address some annoyances. Marie literally enables and hangs out with Raymond at the beach after hearing him beat the brakes off some chick. She literally laughs at how Meursault tells her Salamano beats his dog. Yet people are so quick to point out Meursault’s indifferences first. The story shows us how while society and the world is as indifferent as Meursault, he is ostracized for being the only one vocal and truthful about this indifference despite not being able to express himself in a way that caters to them. Throughout the whole light novel Meursault is both the most chained and most free person within society, and I think his story and character is grossly misunderstood. Therefore, I will proudly and wholeheartedly state I kin this beautiful misunderstood man and will defend his honor to my dying breath. He is also the freakiest sinner but most are not ready for this discussion

I've been doing that, all of Mayors text reads ooga booga number when the nethersea brand is up so I've cleaned the floor with it whenever I can, and I picked the little handy buff that upgrades it if it helps. So far, Ishmael and Gregor have been carrying the hell out of me. Ihmael with her ego passives can win even losing clashes and Gregor has been eating shit the entire fucking battle like a champion tanking for everyone else. And funnily enough Sinclair loses every single clash but his defense skill rolls high so he's a dodge bot now eating Tidal Current every round. Hong lu also helped a lot with phase 1 since the ling ego sweeps the field a lot, now kinda useless though but he did well.

I started playing a little ago so I played on easy mode like the beginning info showed I could, so i probably had a way weaker Mayors boss than you. "Before the compassion they believe in loses its worth" rolled super high, but Ishmael had her base EGO for +2 clash power, the Skadi EGO for more clash power, I used the Skadi EGO to clash and had no nethersea brand on the floor, plus I had the little handy buff that made the sinners strongers every time it was used to buff her more. I was also spamming meursault's EGO since it decreases enemy clashing, when I struggled with The Last Knight some anons told me about it for bosses and it helps a lot.

As for the collab itself, it was really fun. It was way more complicated than anything I've done in the main story, but winning felt rewarding. I also liked that Mayors accepted how she despaired more than anything over having her effort be for naught, as she knew deep down from talking with Fabius that trying to make a selfless hivemind be granted individuality wouldn't truly work, but she had no other better ideas, and the dungeon nodes showing the story of the iberian people was good side material. I liked mostly everything, story and style wise but the final boss scenario was incredibly beautiful in particular, made for a good experience. I was here just in case I needed help but didn't turn to be the case. Now that I've finished the whole thing, I'll do main story and settle on what I do with Limbus after a few days, since so far it's been entertaining enough aside a few things, mostly dailies taking really long.
