I can see where some people think Natsume's route is great. It's novel for a moege, to have two college students go out for casual drinks and just chill, as they do. No romantic undertones yet, just chatting and having a pleasant time. It's a breath of fresh air for a genre packed with high schoolers being high schoolers, and it makes them feel very relatable.

Shion Uzuki in Xenosaga is an extremely well-written character. She's an accurate portrayal of the consequences of the trauma she went through, she's well-developed, and her relationship with her ex-boyfriend is both well-written but also important to the plot.
She's not enjoyable at all; her well-written trauma responses are annoying and being used good makes her a bad waifu (or yuribait for that matter).
