Nah, game is dead. The population is never going to rise above the peaks of the last few episode launches. No one is coming back to it, no one new is going to try it out. Wrath only appeals to people who already experienced it in the superior Destiny, or pcbabies who never experienced it. The D2 versions of VoG, CE, and KF all suck massive ass, especially compared to the original versions, Wrath won't be any different. We can in real time see the worst interpretation of that GDC talk come live, as Bungie kept half-assing content for years, as in each expac is being smaller and worse in quality after Forsaken, while seasonal model became extremely stale. We may have hit another (smaller) peak after disappointing Shadowkeep and Beyond Light (on content) with the Witch Queen, but they then laid egg with the Lightfall.
Lightfall didn't even have a unique destination models for their guns and RAID. First time since fucking 2017. Promos included guns that we didn't get, save for that shitty handcannon.
And that GDC talk became notorious right around pre-Lightfall release.
