anything as long as it can leave a mark, technically. i've heard pencil and pen are the most popular. pencil has swipe variety but less vivid descriptions than pen, and pen has a major context poisoning issues unless you're using a finetune. there are also color models for both but those are only really good at achieving specific benchmarks (we call them notebooks around here) per color.
of course, the company behind the model can matter a lot, and even more so for pen models. experiment and find your favorite.

I've been using deepsek for the past few days (v3.2), so far testing and tweaking my own preset. Basically, I gathered presets I found (momoura, bleachbunny, cherrybox) that anons recommended, and started making my own. Things are good, it is working pretty well, listens to instructions pretty good. However I got to a few problems. Mainly:

It made me hate what they did to the show even more. The books do strong female characters without them being cringe like in the show. The writing of the books is excellent, even in translation.

In terms of the games, the first one lets you sleep with up to 21 girls in it in a single playthrough. Some seemingly random NPCs too. This is actually lore accurate as Witchers are viewed as sex objects by many women. Why? They have superhuman stamina, are immune to diseases (no STDs) and are infertile (no unwanted babies).
