The timeline's a bit fucky but none of the events are deeply tied to the main story except a couple. You might just miss some background developments, like I was reading the main story and then boom, Red Winter and Ninja club out of no where as their introductions were in past events I haven't gone through yet
You can either read the event now and enjoy it in isolation or skip it and revisit the story when it eventually gets added to the past event catalog.
