Yuels buttons may have improved, but the issue with Lowain was everything coming together to become cancer.

His projectiles that are character sized and can be used for everything from mixups, reversals, throwbaits, pressure, resource building. Then there's Katbot, another cancer form of projectile, where it's also got mixups, reversals, throwbaits, pressure, resource building. The counter is annoying, but it's as annoying as the Zeta counter, minus the ult reversal having 2 hits. Strong movement with his backdash, 66L, a useful 66M considering his mix, one of the best 66Hs in the game (safe-on-block throw-baiting advancing normal that can sideswap), etc.

Then you've got his weirdly insane buttons, like a good 5L, 2M, 2U that's special cancellable, 5U giving him resources. And most of all, the issues with his Ult skills and supers (mostly the former). Ult bros is fucked up, basically another reversal that gives him enough time to stock resources again and build his wall. Ult reversal as mentioned is fine, mostly catches people out with the 2nd low hit, Ult Katbot isn't an issue. Ult AS is a combo tool, that's it. HPA is both cool and fine YET also frustrating. It can lead to an unblockable in the corner, you can't challenge it and it changes the pace of the match. Yggy too, but that's more mario party than a problem.

Overall, he's a frustrating basket of knowledge checks and buttons that turn him from a goofy character to a painful one due to the sheer simplicity of everything alongside the hit and run playstyle.

What does Yuel have? Just say you hate foxlife suffering posters and leave it at that instead.

Hmm... This might make pressing after the 236L and throw tech situations riskier against some characters because the move doesn't actually connect after them. If the character doesn't extend into the 6f hitbox with their button they might crush it. Because it's 9 frames and -1 on hit. So if you counterhit you have a 2 frame link. Most characters with cH into cH have an 8 frame cH that are plus on hit so the link is usually 4 or 5 frames.

All in all, good quality of life to help Yool against a few zoners' pressure and to potentially punish anyone autopiloting against her. Nothing too egregious.

I swear I'm not coping but I do wonder if they're saving changes for Ilsa, it would definitely make more sense to release a big ass patch alongside a character like Ilsa than Meg. They obviously know Ilsa is more popular and more people will boot up the game for her. However, it would have made more sense to release a patch just fixing current game grievances (like nerfing metera/lowain) and then saving the more sweeping changes (like say, reworking sheep/zoi/fox or buffing other characters) for Ilsa.
Well, that would be if Cygames followed any kind of logic whatsoever. The random EX characters out of nowhere. The cut content (thankfully). Their promises of fewer patches but more meaningful ones (thanks vanillaniggers). At 19f, those 1-2f frametraps are still tight enough to not be challenged except by a perfectly timed 5f jab
Some more normals are now going to be something like a 3~ frametrap or you will have an easier window to delay for a trap.

Now 5U is a more universal frametrap move, and you can be more unpredictable about which normal to cancel.

This is pretty much my opinion of the Sieg nerfs. He definitely needed to be toned down, but they nerfed... 2U and f.L conversions and left his 2M, SBA and Uwe untouched. So now that he can no longer get anything from f.L without wasting BP, he's even more of a 2M bot than he was before, while still shitting damage from that button when it hits and completely shutting down any kind of projectile/poking game once he hits 100 meter.
I would wager other people who mained overpowered characters have similar feelings, I doubt Grimnigs enjoyed having their f-shiki taken away. They do seem to have a bad habit of destroying the fun of the character with their nerfs.

Counterpoint from a former Anila main, I think they've nerfed both 5U and 5UU with this change.
5U launched at 17f and was changed to 15f specifically (in my opinion) so it can be done gaplessly from a triple attack. Triple attack into 5U pushes the opponent forward a tremendous degree on both hit and block, and I've always judged that as the point of the move, so it becoming gapless buffed it in the sense of it stopping you from getting DP'd for doing it. The devs have undone their own previous buff with this patch, because the left hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing let alone what the right hand is doing when it comes to Anila's confusing, purposeless kit.
Meanwhile 5UU speeding up from 15f startup to 11f and becoming gapless from 5U makes NO sense to me whatsoever. 5U is safe but 5UU is punishable, the only reason to ever go into 5UU in a blockstring would be a low-reward, shitty frametrap. If it's gapless why would you ever, EVER use it outside combos?

I think the disadvantages simple inputs have are fine, but the cooldowns in general ought to be far longer, like twice as long. In Rising they are so short as to not be a factor 95% of the time, especially considering you can just burn meter to use your special anyway.

They should make EX Siegfried that uses his 5U to gather stocks that power up his specials. Uses the same fireball and DP as vanilla Sieg, but Verdrangen gets replaced with a command run that you can cancel into either his 66M animation(a low that's safe),Verdrangen animation (plus on block mid that also gives hella combos on counterhit) or his f.H animation (punishable on block mid but deals hella damage).

You know the crazy part about Sieg's stock buff is that the move itself can be combod into easily and it also has a really big fucking hitbox even though perci should be the one to have that since he NEEDS it to function at full power. Sieg's is just a bonus thing you can use sometimes and it's just still way better for no apparent reason. I believe the devs had a little bit of a LAFF m8.

Well, most normals are going to be cancelled into specials which have widely varying damage. So combos are going to have different damage depending on the character in any case. Scenarios where you hit your opponent with a normal but either can't or don't want to cancel into a special are quite rare, 2U hits are probably the most common scenario where it occurs because you sometimes want the hard knockdown over cancelling into a single special for small damage boost. I would imagine they probably didn't want to bother with giving each and every normal their own carefully calibrated damage value when it's much easier to just adjust the special move damage to make a character have high or low damage overall.
