BF6 is finally the CoD killer it wanted to be. It just had to become CoD to achieve it lmao. They’ve obviously made a really really big push this time around to attract the CoD playerbase. That’s why you have camos tied to weapon mastery’s (the “camo grind”) and a bunch of grindy unlocks in general like 200 CQ shotty kills to unlock a different shotgun or having to get to level 20 to then get 250 spots and 10k score as a recon to unlock C4. They’ve also drastically reduced the size of maps and vehicles feel like a complete afterthought. All to appeal to CoD zoomies who need INSTANT ACTION NOWWWWW!!!
Then additionally, they’ve really leaned into the live service model so we actually have fuck all content to start off with and will have to wait 6 months to actually get what could be considered a full game. XP boosters now count down in real time (copying CoD) which is a step back from 2042. Campaign rips off CoD quite a bit. I’m not sure what Zampella’s motive was with this. He either can’t let CoD go or he’s still just bitter and wanted to just make a CoD replacement to dunk on them this year

Support I think is way to good. Reviving + ammo/heal makes them too good. Assault gets no smoke so not as great to use as beacon takes forever to unlock. The other classes feel situational at best. Whenever I see no friendly/enemy tank or its not a big map I think why would I want anything other then support?

All of this is moot anyway because there's a good chance EA will fuck it up via BP, skips and wacky skins

what annoys me is how little thought they put into all the challenges and gun unlocks

It is a painful life, but I would not change a single thing.

I feel like shooting is the least of its problems, but that's what they'll focus on because it's what the majority are doing. Vehicles and gadgets need the most reworking. If they make those decent, then that would break up the gameplay more. It would cause people to screech more that they can't get easy, free kills, but that just means they're doing it right.
