Sure, it costs double the amount of steel, but with enough caravaning (before odyssey), steel was never an issue, although I tend to usually settle near other settlements, at most at 1 day distance so 2 days of travel if we include the return trip, although is usually at 0.5 distance using horses.

Thinking about it, the rimworld map just isn't big enough for vehicles. Just mounted enemies from giddy up on their own are a huge menace since they reach your base before you can get your pawns ready, while enemy vehicles will probably have destroyed your walls before you even get them equipped with anti-vehicle weapons were they a thing.
Similar to the problem base CE has where weapons just take up half the map because CE didn't think about how 100 range is either half map range or nearly full map range from the center. Rimworld just wasn't made for this kinda stuff.

Unless I'm mistaken the settings are globally applied, so if I tweak it so that the rabbits don't spill out cum on hit, humans don't splash out blood when they get detonated either. Yup, completely healed, even before the decay started.
If you do the surgical inspection, the pawn will have organ decay (diagnosed).
Then if you use unnatural healing or healing mech serum in that state, the pawn will be healed before the multiple organ failure starts (or so I hope).

I'm this anon >>542837292. Pawns dying makes no difference to me. Now, on very rare occasions, when one of the girls from kemomimihouse dies that's when I get mad. With that being said I just pop dev mode on and resurrect them. No reason they should ever die. It's the only time I ever use dev mode outside of troubleshooting.

It happened naturally I swear. rjwgenes gives all piggers the zoophile gene, I had a pigger mercenary in the original colony that took a liking to one of the colony mares. I simply allowed the pigskins to be the natural degenerate creatures they are.
