Smaru tended to flop if she's in a room with a lot of fronts, and does better if there's less fronts who all contest each other in the first section of the track.

In the third room all 3 marus were at the front because my smart falcon decided to be dumb and not proc groundwork and the maru at the front kept the lead. Also interesting to note that corner recovery procced just a tiny bit before Triple 7s did.

First place Maru must have gotten the highroll career of a lifetime considering they got groundwork and that much power and also el's unique from inheritance while having maru to shit up the affinity

There's a big difference between the SSR's and the SR's. I've been focusing on the latter since August, when I foolishly blew all my carats on umas and wound up with Biwa and TM Opera, neither of whom I much care for. If your deck sucks (mine did and still kind of does, pic related), just pull on any given support banner as soon as you hit 1500 carats. Do this until you start getting good speed/stam SR's to mlb. Realistically the best and most viable End Closer you'd ever want to build is Gold Ship, this is mostly because not only does she have one of the easiest uniques to proc, but it's also one of the fucking best for End Closers. Hence why the inherited version is downright useless. That being said End Closers are pretty hype and if you proc your accels they're really hard to beat but that's gambling on not getting brocked by any dying front/pace/late runners. On the other side, Late Runners are way easier to build but also rely on accel stacking but also maintaining the sweet spot of 6th place for the highest chance of skills proccing since most of the best Late Surger skills require to be in 6th or below to use. They also have the problem of being blocked by dying Fronts and Paces and maybe even some Ends who decided that they wanna be Late Surgers instead. All in all, Lates and Ends are definitely the most RNG reliant but also the easiest and kind of the most hype positions to work with and you should always include at least one or the other along with your front runners just to increase your gambling chances.
