The problem is that the Torcher and Crisper are just not very good weapons. I like the Torcher a lot, but it's so short-ranged that it only ever finds situational use against bugs and squids. And don't forget that it's still the warbond that has Firebomb Hellpods, literally the only booster in the game that actively hinders the team that picks it. So ultimately the Cookout is the only "good" weapon in the warbond, and you can buy Medium Inflammable from the Superstore without having to purchase the warbond itself.

My qualm with the list is that people still rank Viper Commandos high. The only really useful thing from the warbond is Experimental Infusion, you can buy Medium Peak Physique from the Superstore (moreso since the warbond itself doesn't actually have Medium Peak Physique).

Squids always have at least part of the map be a city which are shit for finding samples outside of the super sample building. Larger bug bases mostly look the same to me, so it's really hard to tell where the samples would be without doing a lap around it which is a waste of time. Bot bases are really easy to tell apart and I can usually find the samples pretty quickly.

That isn't the point of the question.
Obviously bringing AT is a quick and easy option for the bot front, but by technicality Bots have no AT loadout checks since all of their units can be killed with non-AT gear. This means they sit at around an AP3/AP4 loadout check, since that's the minimum AP you need to be able to kill them, and without meeting that mark, you simply can't.
That is the definition of a loadout check, a threshold that you are physically required to cross in order to be able to kill a certain enemy.

It's very rudimentary & works like two thirds of the time. Enemies will have a very hard time spotting you if you're prone. You don't have to lie if you don't understand a stratagem. The gas dog is a short-to-mid range drone that actually protects you. The others kill. Gas dog will go out and spray the closest enemy within its max range and whats best, move on to another. Once confused by the gas they become blind to you and will randomly attack everything. Including their comrades. This is great since if an enemy like an alpha commander sneaks up on you. The other dogs may not be able to kill it in time. Gas dog will turn it on it's allies and now you got an alpha working for you. This does low DPS DoT so it will not get you as many kills but it does a much better job to keeping things off your ass and NEVER sprays you. That is where I am calling out your bullshit. It is the safest of the dog options and good if you're using a primary or support weapon that keeps your focus on aiming. I like using it in conjunction with the laser cannon myself. Allows you to burn down enemies with impunity and keeps your attention on coring out weakpoints.

Pretty much. Best results I've had is tossing a 120 on the landing site and time it so it goes off just as the first bots hit the ground. Since killing the dropship is not 100% going to kill everything onboard may as well saturate bomb the area I know for a fact a shit load of enemies are about to be. The cooldown is such that it is up nearly as often as a drop is called so I can almost solo entire drop events. EAT is a disposable and you get 2 of them. The biggest thing is the CD. I toss EATs the moment they come up everywhere because I can litter the entire map with dozens of them with no downside really. RR is a dedicated support weapon with a backpack and a very very long cooldown. It obviously would do much greater damage since it is a more valuable stratagem and losing it is much greater consequence then an EAT I can call back in by the time someone reinforces me.

Pro tip: Nearly every AT threat in the game sans the biggest bigs can be once shot with the EAT and Quasar. They gave it just enough punch to reliably drop most tanky enemies if you hit a specific weakpoint. It requires you to aim much better then a RR that can sometimes just aim anywhere and still get the kill. It is a trade off between speed and accuracy versus raw power and lack of flexibility.

Is there anywhere that categorizes the damage types and what traits they all tend to share?
like
Arc
- infinite ammo
- jumps to enemies instead of traditional aiming
- tends to teamkill

following this, are there any traits that sound fun that none of the current damage types cover?

Unless you’re talking about ALL the fronts, I feel AP2 Diligence requires way more accuracy on weakpoints on the bot front compared to AP3 Diligence Counter Sniper, which allows you to shoot the body and other AP3 parts at the cost of less ammo

Only a retard would think that a game would do such a thing like locking your PC or fucking up your SSD or whatever, to have even a shred of ability to do such a thing it would need to run with admin privileges to change anything important at all. And no, putting 100% load on any components won't kill it unless said hardware is called RTX5090 with fucked up 12pin connector which is fucked up beyond comprehension with how it spreads voltage etc. I'm digressing. A game basically can't do shit that would affect the system unless it had actually malicious code. The game is running on C/C++ engine so the worst that can happen is memory leaks which will fill out your RAM or straight up crash the game. But if there's any damage to the system or the hardware then you would need to look into culprits that are actually likely offenders like microsoft bad updates, one of which caused SSD problems, and system can actually go much deeper into the hardware access. OC applications can change voltages and clocks of hardware, system doesn't even need admin permissions to do this, it can just do it because it has kernel level access to mobo and anything connected to it. Other culprit would be hardware drivers.
I use win10 and the most HD2 did on my shit was staying open because the process doesn't kill itself when closing the game once in a while.

it's not so CPU intensive according to my findings either, it can stress the fuck out of a GPU certainly but that's a given for 90% of contemprary games
I can't help but suspect that a great deal of niggas with performance problems have thermal issues or are too close to the minimum specs (for console ports it's recommended to be 30% above the recommended specs)

Gameguard isn't even arrowhead's code, it's basically an addon tacked into the game code to check if you use cheats. Game had it forever and since the problems with shit started appearing now that means it's least likely culprit, AH doesn't change the working code of the anticheat. It was here forever but problems started appearing now, it would be very illogical to factor in gameguard as culprit for the issues that surfaced very recently.
