If the goal is to master the skill of "don't hang pieces and take free pieces," it's easier when there are less pieces on the board. Don't neglect the fundamentals to pursue seemingly clever ideas because more often than not you're probably creating weaknesses you didn't foresee.

I have severe hayfever in the summers so I have to take strong antihistamines, like ceterizine. They make me feel very sleepy but the sleepiness takes a while to build up, not 15 minutes.
